Jacksonville.
Remember going there one time.
That was enough.
Yes, first thing to do when selling your home or seeking an appraisal for refinancing...stage it, remove all traces of
"personal"... family photos etc.
Are there racist people in the world?
Yes.
Are there religionist people in the world?
Yes.
Your approach fails to fix two pieces of the systemic real estate racism:
a) Hiring somebody to sell or rent your home.
b) Trying to buy a home or rent one.
I have a friend who is a large man, and as such is classed as disabled, on crutches permanently, can barely walk.
Good man, white heterosexual Christian male, worked two jobs, not appreciated, nasty wife, bad marriage, wife divorced him..."don't earn enough money" etc.
He got depressed in 2007, ate too much, became a [clean]hoarder, now struggles [is financially secure if lives frugally in retirement]...owns his very old timber home with no paint on it, rusting tin roof, mansions all around now.
His front verandah piled high with junk.
No oven, no stove, no kitchen sink, no fridge, no freezer, no heater, no aircon, no washing machine.
I text with him daily, he rings every couple of days, I once worked with him. Intelligent man. Very good sense of humour.
bambu is the "PMA...positive mental attitude guru [he has books], who lifts him up from the depths of despair and suicide, believe it or not.
If he wanted to rent a home, would anyone rent him one?
I have offered to rent the home in my name if he pays the rent and any insurances first.
Landlords should have the right to say who rents their properties...within some boundaries.
