Trump’s approval with black voters rose nine points during the Republican National Convention, according to a Hill-HarrisX poll conducted August 22-25.

Twenty-four percent of registered black voters, which included the first two days of the convention, said they approve of the job Trump is doing as president, while 76 percent said they disapprove.
That is up 9 points from the previous survey conducted Aug. 8-11, where the President received 15 percent support among this group.

An interesting quote from MLK, but more on that later, if I'm so inclined. Even the Devil can quote scripture, after all. Just a matter of figuring out who the devil we're talking about. You still don't care about Blacks except for what you can get from them. No change.

As for the Hill-HarrisX poll, at the same time that they reported that change, they also had the president's overall approval drop from -10 to -12.

But for example, "Twenty-four percent of registered black voters in the Aug. 22-25 survey, which included the first two days of the convention, said they approve of the job Trump is doing as president, while 76 percent said they disapprove." I wonder what they think once they got past Tim Scott and into the last two days!

Meanwhile, "Eighty-seven percent of Democratic voters disapprove of Trump along with 64 percent of independent voters.

"The survey found the president remains underwater with suburban voters and urban voters, at 42 percent support each."

But we should always examine what Ward says carefully, because, per a different Hill-HarrisX poll, "The poll found Republican voters to be more likely than Democratic voters to give stock to the theories and misinformation."

The country wasn't/isn't so racist .....it elected BHO and his wife and children First Couple/First Family,  and set them up in the White Palace, as I seem to remember it once being called.

"Hey, a single Black man succeeded once, so there is no racism problem," says Bambi, the arbiter of racism.

Very symbolic, was that Black First Family in the palace.

The DNI has said that this is the last briefing the Intelligence Committees will get about Election Security from him. Trump claims it was the DNI's idea. Yeah, right.

1200 cases at U of Alabama since the campus reopened. No wonder Trump wants testing slowed down (as per the guideline that asymptomatic cases no longer need testing, a stupid change if ever there were one).

You are about to interview a candidate for one of the most important jobs in the world. You ask “What are your plans for the next four years?”

And this is the answer (actual quote):
"But so I think, I think it would be, I think it would be very, very, I think we'd have a very, very solid, we would continue what we're doing, we'd solidify what we've done, and we have other things on our plate that we want to get done," Trump to The New York Times.

Would you hire him for one of the most important jobs in the world?

Sounds like some John Roberts bullshit.

I just woke up with amnesia and wasn't sure of the exact year.   Then I heard all these Republicans quoting MLK.   That narrowed it down to years divisible by four.

God tells us to feed the hungry, and to help the homeless, and to help the poor, and how does God expect us to do all of that if we are poor? Obviously God expects us to be rich, so we can help the poor, you have to have money so that you can give it away to the needy. God is all about abundance, and he wants us to help the poor, so God is going to give you the ability to help the poor.

God also blesses you if you hire workers and if you are generous and fair with your workers.

It is all in the Bible.

Salute,

Tony V.

Trump and Biden both need to come out against young folk idiocy.

What has recently happened at Rutgers is disgusting

Credit Montclair State for disciplining party-going students.  Rutgers president - who probably makes 4x the MSU prez's salary - will continue to fiddle.

It's not in our primary responsibilities, even according to "Him."

God allowed slavery, Tony.

Stanley's base salary is $800,000, but he is eligible for a 20% bonus if performance goals approved by the board and Stanley together are met. Those goals aren't spelled out in detail or the procedure for establishing them. The 20% bonus is at the high end of bonuses in university president's contracts, with most coming in around 10%, the researchers said.  Add in an annual $100,000 in deferred compensation and Stanley's pay tops $1 million per year. That would put him near the top 10 in the nation in pay for public university presidents.

Rutgers
Quote
Holloway’s annual base salary will be $780,000, and he can earn up to 25% more in incentives. His maximum bonus, $195,000, is guaranteed in the first year. After that, bonus payments will be awarded based on reaching goals set by the Board of Governors.

The new president will have standard university health benefits and five weeks of vacation. Holloway’s salary — higher than outgoing President Robert Barchi’s $748,259 base pay — is comparable to those of other large Big Ten Conference university presidents.

In addition to Holloway’s annual salary and incentives bonus, he has a chance to earn deferred compensation. It is a common bonus system universities use to reward presidents who stay on the job for a defined number of years. Rutgers will set aside $275,000 a year — nearly $1.4 million in total — that Holloway can collect if he serves five years.

I think he meant Montclair State when he said "MSU".

Following a vote to increase student tuition, President Susan Cole will be receiving another pay raise, resulting in a base income of $587,000.

The last Board of Trustees meeting resulted in a 3.5% pay raise approval for managerial administrators. The pay raise increased President Cole’s yearly salary from $455,000 to $471,000.

Additionally, the board agreed to provide President Cole with a $91,000 performance bonus, as well as a retention bonus of $25,000. President Cole’s salary was increased with 2.7% along with a $88,000 performance bonus last year.

President Cole also receives unpublished automobile and housing allowances, despite living cost-free on university property.

Following a $37,680 tax-free pension payment to her retirement account, President Cole will be given close to $630,000 for the 2019-2020 school year.
