Trump refuses to condemn white supremacy, while pretending that he has done so.

Most interesting thing from the debate was learning you can say "shitshow" on CNN.

Didn't see the debate or even a nanosecond of any replay yet.

Sounds like Biden should make sure that for Debate #2 one candidate's mike is off while the other speaks and answers a question.  So no meaningful interrupting, without shouting.

If Trump doesn't agree to that, then just scrap the remaining two debates, explaining that Trump can't follow the rules and play nice, so nobody is going to play with him.  That Biden is interested in engaging in an actual debates, not a Trump interruptfest.

Trump needs the debates more than frontrunner Biden.  So they are either conducted on fair and equal terms set by Biden to ensure decorum and that both parties get to talk interruption free, or he nixes them.

---(CNN)Florida reported a spike in new coronavirus cases Tuesday, just days after Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an executive order allowing restaurants and bars to operate at full capacity.

New cases surged to 3,266 from the 738 reported Monday, according to the state's health department. That's the highest one-day number since September 19.---

Get him outta here before he kills everyone.

He’s committing a ton of felonies. Someone in his administration will lose a relative and come clean. Then slick Ron can revive his political career on his cell block.

Putin’s pet is a clown, both unpresidential and the worst president ever. He doesn’t care and should just shut up.

Biden is the kind of President we would all respect and really need right now.

Fox’s message came loud and clear through the debate.

For the second debate trump should turn down the nose candy. His lack of septum is disturbing.

Biden has the power to shut Trump up.
Via debate rules and enforcement or by cancelling further debates.

Hell, they can sell campaign buttons:

Red is still getting sphincter quivers for trump. There are probably others who after a lifetime of abuse by themselves and others still feel they should support him. He won’t get absolutely zero votes, but we should make it as close to zero as we possibly can.

Next up...Pence and Harris.
Should be fun, he a White heterosexual Christian male.
The first time she insults him (if she does) he should simply walk out...saying "I don't have to put up with that and I'm not going to."
Insulting such males is what people can do with impunity these days.
Or he could insult her right back.

When Trump was pressing Biden about any police unions supporting him, Biden should have just laughed/snickered and said that now it seems that Trump is a union supporter.

Then go on to explain that before unions, Americans workers were treated and paid very poorly in America,  And when workers tried to organize and form unions they were routinely beaten up by hired security thugs and/or local police. After FDR (it's okay to mention Dem heroes) implemented labor reform encouraging unionization, workers were treated and paid better, had more job stability and rights, better safety and working conditions.  There was an unprecedented middle class boom in the USA when unions flourished.  And then after unions were attacked by Reagan and subsequently marginalized and dismantled by the GOP and Big Business over the past 4 decades, American workers have again gone to being underpaid with fewer rights and benefits, and the middle class has suffered.  And the country is worse off for it.

Conclusion: we're a better nation when the middle class is strong and unions play a major part in that.  While for the past 40 years the GOP has attacked and undermined unions and hurt the American middle class, promoting policies that enrich the rich and screw over the working class.

He could continue that the GOP is against worker's rights, against better pay for workers (mention the minimum wage) and such, but really that's enough.
Nothing wrong with giving a little history lesson on unions and the middle class.  The kind of thing Donald Trump cannot manage.

Anyway, once Trump mentions unions, it's such an easy opening to get across Dem economic policies and support for the middle class.

I really would love to see Hillary debate this hugely failed Trump.
She'd have so many facts at her command to just shred this guy.  And she's smart on her feet and tough.

Biden called Trump a clown.

Yes.

He was and is a clown.

OTOH, Trump called Biden "number two," as if they were in elementary school, as well as dumb and a bunch of other things.

He also falsely claimed that Hunter Biden was dishonorably discharged, which is a specific term that does not apply to Hunter Biden.

But you don't care about that, evidently. "Biden called Trump a clown." Oh, the horror.

Quote
The two candidates on stage tonight had one audience in mind -- undecided independents in swing states. Biden failed to convince them, while Trump likely made progress.

Biden may have performed well by the standards of DC groupthink, but he failed to engage with the real concerns on independents' minds. Biden dodged a questions about packing the Supreme Court, how he would handle the pandemic differently -- other than locking down the entire country -- and whether he would abolish the Senate filibuster. He also floundered when confronted with the violence sweeping the nation's cities.

Biden cannot answer these questions without alienating the extremists in his party. If he shouts down court-packing, he loses liberals. If he articulates a well-coordinated plan for economic recovery and the pandemic, he loses the strawman arguments against Trump. Biden has nowhere to go, so instead, he stayed silent and lost any edge he may have had with swing voters.

We do know that Biden has said he would eliminate many of Trump tax cuts, which were a historic boon for the middle class, according to The Heritage Foundation. Instead of telling working families how his platform would help them, Biden undercut them by talking about expanding Obamacare, raising taxes, and offered a weird riff on Brazilian rainforests.

By contrast, Trump focused on the extensive achievements of his administration and provided details that matter, like massive pre-Covid job creation that he is bringing back and his support for small businesses through pro-growth tax reform. He repeated his support for law enforcement and opposition to violence and anarchy — something Biden struggled to do.

These issues matter. While independents might not like President Trump's style, they like his substance and have benefited from his presidency. The next debate offers a chance to bring those voters home.

Jessica Anderson is Executive Director of Heritage Action, a nationwide grassroots organization. She is also the Founder and President of Moms for Safe Neighborhoods, a PAC advocating on safety and security issues and supporting President Trump. Anderson formerly served as an Associate Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget from 2017 to 2018.

That's the best she can do.

Has to be the least honest review of the night I have read, outside of the spinners from the WH and the RNC.
