I think Trump should do the HOLT town hall which has been offered, by the way

But my guess is an address to the nation is more likely to be on the schedule.

Last time Trump talked to Lester Holt:

He [Rosenstein] made a recommendation, he’s highly respected, very good guy, very smart guy. The Democrats like him, the Republicans like him. He made a recommendation. But regardless of [the] recommendation, I was going to fire Comey. Knowing there was no good time to do it!

And in fact when I decided to just do it I said to myself, I said, “You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story, it’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should’ve won.”

And the reason they should’ve won it is, the Electoral College is almost impossible for a Republican to win, it’s very hard, because you start off at such a disadvantage. So everybody was thinking they should have won the election. This was an excuse for having lost an election.

Yeah, he might want to skip a town hall with Holt.

Genuine.

It is true that Dems get the electoral college jump - with CA and NY

Texas? What's Texas?

And FL's gone GOP 7 of the last 10 elections.

But all of that ignores the truth of the matter which is that it is the GOP with the huge advantage,

57 EVs with 2/3rds of the voters of California?!

The big reason that the Dems are going to have a huge advantage in the future is because Texas seems likely to shift, if not this election than in '24 or '28, candidate depending.

Given his phone call today, he should wait until the steroid is out of his system.

The man elected to be President of the United States openly calls for his Attorney General to prosecute his political opponents and it doesn't even elicit a shrug.  And that wasn't even the only disqualifying thing about that call.

We have just sunk so low as a nation.

What does?  All three debates would still be scheduled.

Biden won't debate on the 29th.

Trump is saying no only to a revision of format.

Biden is saying no to a date change, sadly.

Boo hoo.

Biden is saying no only to a date change.

Trump is saying no to having to follow the rules.

Trump miracle cure derived from fetal tissue research.

How will this play with the so called ‘pro-life’ contingent?

All fun and games to Kid.

Rule of law only matters when it can be used by him to bludgeon the opposition.

I hope I didn't miss Red's NBA ratings report and distraction du jour

In these trying times of a fascist militia plot to kidnapping a Dem governor, inspired by the battle cry of "Liberate Michigan" an antifa fly attacking an unsuspecting VP, and a roid-raged Covid-infected in chief, claiiming immunity and invincibility from everything except the truth, we need Red's inane game of distraction  to help us reset our priorities and LOL at the insanity of it all.

Obviously NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has been pouring over the sad TV ratings for its  Championship series:
We’re completely committed to standing for social justice and racial equality and that’s been the case going back decades. It’s part of the DNA of this league. How it gets manifested is something we’re gonna have to sit down with the players and discuss for next season. I would say, in terms of the messages you see on the court and our jerseys, this was an extraordinary moment in time when we began these discussions with the players and what we all lived through this summer. My sense is there’ll be somewhat a return to normalcy, that those messages will largely be left to be delivered off the floor.

And I understand those people who are saying ‘I’m on your side, but I want to watch a basketball game.’

Which puts him ahead of you and Kid, since neither of you are on the same side as Silver.

I dont care about the NBA ratings or the messaging

Or BLM, we know.
Or, for that matter, BL.

Anti-democracy. No surprise here, either.

Mike Pence, last night, on the trade war with China, thinking that this is somehow a point in his favor:

'Well, okay, they say we lost that trade war, but THEY never even fought it."

Another monumentally stupid take.

Democrats don't have an electoral college advantage.  If they did, we wouldn't have had two elections go the Republican's way in the last two decades despite their losing the popular vote.

The Red state advantage with the present EC system is well-known and documented.  It's the reason for the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact exists and has already been ratified in sixteen jurisdictions.

I posted an excerpted article on this a few hours ago.   As I think it noted,  the pro-lifers are mostly unaware of this glaring hypocrisy.   And happy to look the other way.   I think chiropractors may be getting wealthy on all of that head averting the right does these days.

The emergency antibody that Trump received last week was developed with the use of a cell line originally derived from abortion tissue, according to Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, the company that developed the experimental drug.

The Trump administration has taken an increasingly firm line against medical research using fetal tissue from abortions. For example, when it moved in 2019 to curtail the ability of the National Institutes of Health to fund such research, supporters hailed a “major pro-life victory” and thanked Trump personally for taking decisive action against what they called the “outrageous and disgusting” practice of “experimentation using baby body parts.”
