I think AOC is signalling that she isn't a career politician, that she's a regular person, that she's open to options (such as senator/governor). 

But she wants to be involved and make a difference and she can do that more as a politician, especially senator, than she can as a teacher -- one of her considered alternative plans.  I think she's just keeping it real and keeping expectations in check.

It's not just that Rudy made his last stand in the parking lot of a landscaping business overlooked by the Fantasy Island Adult Books store (Video, Novelties, Books), and just across the road from the Delaware Valley Cremation Center.   Amidst dildos and burning corpses... ya can't make this stuff up.

It's that team Trump prematurely announced an event at the Four Seasons hotel in Philadelphia before actually booking the venue - only to discover that the hotel wanted nothing to do with them and refused to accept the booking. Which meant the Trumpistas had to hurriedly find another location with a similar name, and hope that no-one would notice the switcheroo.  The notion that this would go unnoticed is what had my partner and I in stitches last night.

Certainly possible that Biden could tap Gillibrand for a cabinet position and appoint AOC senator.  Gillibrand obviously ambitious and a cabinet position would give her greater national prominence.  She didn't get too far in her first presidential go in 2020.  Right now she's lacking the name recognition and oomph to move her into serious contention.

I hope Harris will be as remarkable a veep as I imagine she could be,  and will blaze a trail for others,  including AOC.   When every single thing Kid says about a politician is a lie or distortion,  you know that person has brains and talent.

I'm not sure how you can be a remarkable VP.
But I do think Biden will be more of a delegating leader than a micro-manager.

And the Veep position has been more significant since Gore, CHENEY, Biden, and Pence who often softened and translated Trump tantrums, tweets and raves into normal policy for the Congress and media.

Good point on ,-la Harris potentially paving the way for AOC.  Trailblazing.  Kamala should be the frontrunner for 2024 (Bernie, Hillary and probably Liz Warren will be too old -- and after two old fart boomers, folks will be ready for the younger generation.  Hell, Biden even pre-dates Boomers, as he was a war baby, born just less than one year after the USofA entered the conflict.  It's hard today to imagine a major war in Europe and the US just sitting it out for 2 years.
