Another true disciple of Trump spoke a bit before 3am:
Perdue campaign claims in new statement that they believe they won and will use “every available resource and exhaust every recourse to ensure all legally cast ballots are properly counted” — echoing Trump.
Loeffler's deficit is beyond 1%, let alone the under 0.5% threshold that forces a recount at the candidate's request.
Perdue's deficit is approaching the magic 0.5%, though it would have to increase by about 5800 votes.
Loeffler would need a reason or would need Raffensperger to do it because she asked. And for all that she would like to claim irregularities, there are no substantive reports of such. And the Secretary of State has absolutely no reason to do her any favors - and a favor is what it would be.
Perdue has two days from when the vote is certified to make his request, as well, but unless Ossoff gets those 5800 votes, the granting of the request is automatic - but
no runoff has ever changed a result by anywhere near this size gap.
