Somebody in DC thinks that there should be a response to the callous and bold murder of Washington Post journalist Khashoggi.

And if this is the best we can do, it is more than nothing. I am sure it will grate on the senses of the Saudis if it comes to pass.

Rename the street?
Good idea.

In reality, what would you like President Trump to actually do to Saudi Arabia?

Stop selling them weapons.

Put more and better solar panels, wind turbines, smart grid and battery systems on line.

Decommission fossil fuel systems as quickly as they can be replaced.

Freeze their U.S. based assets.

If your party’s electoral strategy depends on fewer people voting it means you know your policies suck for most people.

California Republicans see what happens when more voters vote, and they don't like it one bit

California is a sanctuary state with tons of immigrants? This was the Nancy Pelosi strategy to lock up the Latino vote with promises of open borders. She also gets the sociopath vote, brilliant.

"sociopath vote... "

Quote
Steel is exercised about California rules allowing “convicted criminals” in county jails or on various forms of probation or supervised release to vote. But he’s talking mostly about those with misdemeanor convictions, who are allowed to vote nationwide, or those who have served their sentences. “Just about the only criminals barred from voting in California are felons in prison or on parole,” he writes, but he doesn’t explain what’s wrong with that.

Steel grouses that California actually does allow “felon voting,” but that’s just gaslighting. He’s referring to the downgrading of some felonies to misdemeanors under Proposition 47 of 2014, which passed by an overwhelming 60%-40% vote. The measure reduced some cannabis possession and petty theft counts, including shoplifting and check kiting, to misdemeanors, and allowed anyone previously convicted of felony counts for those offenses to petition to change their records. But by definition, the charges no longer were felonies; in other words, this isn’t “felon voting.”

Yes if I was a petty criminal who had the records expunged I would probably vote democratic. Tick off a lot of blue collar citizens who worked their lives and never were imprisoned. But who cares, not the liberal elite democrats who seem to have forgotten their base.

Yes only major criminals and inbred idiots vote republican. This pisses off every patriotic American who remembers the reason this country was founded and respects its laws, but who cares? Not the criminal republicans who forgot what truth sounds like and are only in it to inflict cruelty and profit off American pain.

-white-house-officials-hatch-act/index.html

Six more White House officials have been found guilty of violating the Hatch Act.

They won't get more than notification of the violations (which we imagine they knew when they did it), unless they become repeat (caught) offenders.

But it is just another indication of the corruption of this administration.

During the Obama administration, there were 2 cases in which the OSC concluded there had been violations of the Hatch Act by officials and 2 other cases in which the accusation was made, in EIGHT years.

The Trump administration is up to 9 violations in under TWO years!

Found guilty

Mikhail Gorbachev Praises George H.W. Bush’s ‘Kindness and Simplicity,’ Leadership Through Cold War’s End

---------

Instead of pushing Mexico away and building a wall, Trump needs to roll up his sleeves and he needs to work together with the President of Mexico to improve the situation for all. Trump and Lopez need to work together to stop the drug trafficking, and they can stop the cartels and the murderers, and we can all get together and work on a GOOD NEIGHBOR policy on the issue of immigration with Canada and Mexico, and a guest worker program, etc, etc, etc.

We can also expand trade with Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, etc, etc, etc. (I thought about bottling and importing Peruvian glacier water into the USA, and also selling it globally, it is supposed to be the world's healthiest water.)

And we MUST do a new trade deal with China, they are killing the world economy.

NO WALL!

Salute,

Tony V.

The letter of intent and the fact that trump had been maneuvered to accept financing from a sanctioned bank dictated and drove the candidate’s stance on sanctions on Russia’s kleptocratic oligarchy. The whole history of trump’s Russian pursuits and various international deals demonstrated the tactic would bring the whole weight of trump’s noise hole behind promoting sanctions relief both through a public campaign and by exerting any influence he had or could get.

The whole time there is roger helping him into a run for President getting the pitch at least into the heart of the GOP primaries.

That led the Russians through the door to see how weak the republicans have made our political system nation wide.

Trump conspired in this attack by signing the letter and calling to end sanctions while lying to the public and responsible officials to conceal his financial motive and written intent to defy sanctions.

Russia, in person or through proxies, held his hand the whole way.

The “base” of which you speak stopped being Democrats when Democrats stopped being as racist as they’d like. The more the Democratic Party looks like America the more of you will flee. You have no idea what it takes to be non white and reach adulthood without some kind of record, petty or otherwise, especially when you live with a target on your back.

Democrats haven’t forgotten their base, they’re finally recognizing who IS their base.

Cut them off militarily, financially and make them accountable for the spread of their extreme perversion of Islam, Wahhabism.

Larry, it doesn’t seem you are keeping out of bankruptcy by selling Saudis your “toys”.

When they pay you to say so they are some of the best people.

liberal elite
noun [ C, + sing/pl verb ] UK   /ˌlɪb.ər.əl eˈliːt/ US   /ˌlɪb.ər.əl ɪˈliːt/

a group of people with education, money, and other advantages, often living in cities, who have liberal political views and are seen as not understanding the problems and views of ordinary people:

Many Americans felt the Democratic Party was governed by out-of-touch liberal elites who looked down on red-state America as backward and reactionary.
