STAR POWER HELPS

Alyssa Milano and Danny Glover make a difference when they show up at a protest or a rally. More people show up. Some people think that star power is a joke, but star power is a real thing.

And Bensonhurst, and Brooklyn, and the Bronx, and Manhattan, and Queens, and Long Island, and all of New York, and the world, watched Alyssa Milano grow up, and her and Tony Danza are well-loved. Tony Danza even owns a cheese shop in Little Italy.

When stars give their free time to doing charity work and when they work for causes and when they do humanitarian work, and political rallies and protests, etc, they can make a big difference.

The same as when a Princess shows up in the Philippines, or whatever. Or Shakira in Colombia, if you watch Shakira with the Colombian children, it is just magical, and she has done much to help them.

Star power helps to do good things. And star power certainly worked for Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Ronald Reagan.

Salute,

Tony V.

Apologizing for a false statement on Infowars is a little like apologizing for taking a shit in the toilet.

McSally to Senate
Expected once she made up with the McCains.

Nice first step, but it is likely also the last step. Took them a year. Worth noting both the Obama and Trump justice departments thought it needed congressional action.

A full throated shriek of retreat from his promise to shut down the government over the wall. You cannot just move appropriated money around like that. Money will still be where it is now six months the from now, but Trump will not have to admit his defeat. To bad he lacks the manhood to compromise. Gonna be a tough two years for him.

83 counts against Kavanagh rescinded

Judges called the complaints "serious" but had to dismiss because lower courts can't discipline a Supreme Court Justice.

But you don't care about the substance of Kavanaugh's misbehavior, just the win.  Which is how it always was.

It's really a mock-investigation when the investigating body has no statutory authority to act on its findings.

Congress could enact legislation to change this,  and have Scotus justices be answerable to serious charges.   Guess that'll happen the day the US Congress starts doing it's fucking job.   Instead of serving the plutocracy.

Banned them by the same method he (and the rest of the GOP) despised when used by Obama. And I doubt this one will hold up. Redefining bump stocks as machine guns, in and of themselves, is not going to fly.

Administration has long shown a willingness to take money from one allocation and spend it in another. Trump did the same thing with FEMA money, for example.

"rescinded?" No, I am pretty sure they were not rescinded. They were dumped by the 10 District, which had charge of the "investigation." I am sure the head of that court, Kavanaugh's former classmate, gave it the full attention the investigation of Kavanaugh got from the Senate Judiciary Committee's FBI examination gave him. That is to say, lip service.

As you always have been, now, Kiiid.

https://www.wunderground.com/cat6/US-Tornado-Power-Has-Increased-More-Factor-Two-1994

Quote
The number of strong (EF2 and EF3) and violent (EF4 and EF5) tornadoes in the U.S. has remained roughly constant in recent decades. However, tornadoes have been coming in bigger bunches with individual tornadoes being wider and staying on the ground longer, resulting in an increase in the destructive power of U.S. tornadoes averaging 5.5% per year since 1994, said Dr. James Elsner of Florida State University in a talk on Wednesday at the annual meeting of the American Geophysical Union in Washington D.C. He cited longer tornado path lengths as being the key reason for the observed increase in tornado power.
