.

If we all are held accountable for any bigotry we harbored in our youth, does that mean we deny public service to talented people?  (and who would be left to serve?)
LOL  I think you are a little late to the party with that observation. Maybe because the latest 'victim' has a  d next to his ballot name.

I see the apples/bergamots point has already been made, so I'll leave you to your lolling.
How convenient for you to then simply compare apples to bergamonts even though I didn't.

I didn't say Northam wasn't a cooked goose.
But every one from Nancy Pelosi on down has.  Bully for you if you think he got screwed by the Bully PCers.  But remember Northam was not shy about using the race card against his opponent .

Just as I felt I couldn't trust Kavanaugh on scotus, I understand people not trusting Northam now.  Medical school is pretty late to still be that clueless.  Regardless of D or R next to a ballot name.
Kavanaugh was in HIGH SCHOOL and his accuser proved to be a liar.  Northam was not accused of anything.  But a picture was published and, almost immediately, he apologized. Now he says the pic was not of him and the usage of it on his yearbook page could have been in error.
I don't think Northam is a racist nor was he ever whatever the truth is about the picture.
But the party who has screamed racism or worse at any flimsy evidence now is caught with a lot of toothpaste to be put back in the tube.

Steve King is still in the House... so is Steve Scalise.

We throw out our fuckups. Why don’t you? Because for the GOP racism is a feature, not a bug.

Have a stadium full of seats, fool.
You throw 'em out.
That's what elections are for.
I remember
the "good" ol' days here when Red used to complain about other posters being amoral.

It's no different, now.

He accuses others of what he himself is guilty of.

Same as the rest of the GOP.

Might want to look up amoral in a dictionary.
It has nothing to do with overturning elections.
Northam says he is not going.  This is a problem for the democrats who want him to give up.
What if he sticks to his decision?
Al Franken should have never resigned, by the way.
He may have taken one for the team, but he did nothing to stem the tide of PC mob rule.

Trump called for the execution of black teens (before they were tried) in the late ‘80s, then after they were exonerated AFTER serving time for a crime they didn’t commit he still considers them guilty.

He rose to political prominence while pushing the conspiracy theory that USA’s first black president was secret Muslim from Africa. He also defended white supremacists after racist violence and murder in Charlottesville.

The last GOP speaker denounced Trump saying no place for racism in GOP but campaigned for him because he didn’t a Democrat to win...

That’s what amorality looks like.

Maybe you should just sit down and shut the fuck up.

Sounds like great issues to campaign against. But there is no amorality in any of your examples.

You illustrated my points about both you and your party perfectly there!

Wow. I could not have scripted it better.

"lacking a moral sense; unconcerned with the rightness or wrongness of something."

Nope, I think you nailed it through your statements and your party through its actions and its failures to act.

Perhaps you think you and they are immoral, instead?

"not conforming to accepted standards of morality."

Nah - you conform to your party's standards of morality --> a standard that is unconcerned with the rightness or wrongness of something, so long as they get what they are after.

Gerrymandering. Denial of voting rights. Blocking back pay for the least well paid of the folks who were cut off by the federal shutdown. Failing to stop the president from trying to deport people who have done nothing to merit their getting deported. Failing to stop the administration from kidnapping and illegally detaining children.

Discrimination against LGBT. Rollback of rights for women, rollback of civil rights.

Amoral does it.

Trump and McConnell are kings, but you really belong to your party.

Lie, deny, and obfuscate.

I will note, as I do from time to time, that DimBulbWard continues to make claims about others, while providing neither substantiation for why the Dems have double standards nor for why his own amorality is actually rooted in some sort of truly moral path.

No examples, just lies, denial, and obfuscation.

‘Kill all men’: Controversial feminist booted from charity fundraiser

Hardline feminist Clementine Ford has had her speech for a charity fundraiser cancelled after almost 14,000 people signed a petition against her appearance.
Suicide prevention group Lifeline has canned a domestic violence forum featuring the controversial feminist.

About time action was taken against this sort of thing 'hardline feminists' have been getting away with.

Men have had enough of the tripe and are fighting back...

https://www.inc.com/suzanne-lucas/huffpost-editor-says-new-years-resolution-is-to-kill-all-men.html

Resolution Is To Kill All Men

You can see why McCombs might have deleted it. You can also see why she wants to cultivate friendships with women, because, after all, she's planning to kill all men. Hard to cultivate friendships with the dead.

This isn't McCombs first foray into misandry. She has written about how raising her son gives her "sweat-soaked, sit-straight-up-in-bed feminist nightmares" because she "can imagine a future in which my own spawn makes some woman feel as voiceless as the boys in my high school once did, a world in which he blithely argues against the existence of male privilege and shit-talks the latest all-female remake on Twitter."

Speaking of Twitter, the above tweet wasn't her only one about how much she despises men. She's made her Twitter account private following her "kill all men" tweet, but the Daily Caller documented these before she hid from the consequences of her own words:

Filed my nails into sharp little points last night so that I may spear and devour the hearts of men.

IMAGINE if Trump [or any man anywhere] wrote such things about women.

Actually definitions.

I provided actual definitions.

As usual, you don't provide your own. Buffoon.

Here, have some more:
Quote
1a : having or showing no concern about whether behavior is morally right or wrong

b : being neither moral nor immoral
specifically : lying outside the sphere to which moral judgments apply

2 : being outside or beyond the moral order or a particular code of morals

That was Merriam-Webster.

Quote
1. not to be judged by criteria of morality; neither moral nor immoral

2. without moral sense or principles; incapable of distinguishing between right and wrong

Collins. Now let's look at the Oxford Dictionary.

Quote
Lacking a moral sense; unconcerned with the rightness or wrongness of something.

MacMillian?
Quote
someone who is amoral does not care whether or not their behavior is morally right

Cambridge:
Quote
without moral principles

That one is less than helpful, I suppose. Here's their definition of moral:
Quote
relating to standards of good behavior, honesty, and fair dealing, or showing high standards of this type

I think that pretty well settles it.

The GOP is not fair, as evidenced in their repeated efforts to prevent people from voting. Their conduct over Garland, over the rules of governance in NC and Wisconsin are thoroughly unfair. And their reactions to the racists in their party and other bigots illustrates their low standards, among many other things.

And you? You turn a blind eye to it. You deny the racism. You simply do not comment on most of it.

Because your standards and morality align with your party's. Whatever works. Russian involvement in the election? "We won." Bigots in the House and Senate? "Get rid of them by voting." Racist gerrymandering? "What evidence?"

Amoral.

Lie, deny, and obfuscate.
