All true 100% red-blooded Americans are dancing in the streets somewhere now that we KNOW
Trump and Putin sat in a room in Helsinki for over an hour and just stared into each other's eyes.

A suspension of skepticism about all things Trump will never be a good idea.

I believe Nixon was initially very pleased that his dirty tricks were working so well for him
and resulted in his re-election.

All Americans know that the Russian Government interfered with our election.  They know that Trump publicly asked the Russians to interfere and initially accepted Putin's offer to assist with
The investigation of the hacking the DNC computers. These facts are not in dispute.

Not sure Nixon ties in here....

But I ask, SEC - would you be OK with it playing out the same way -

A Trump 2020 win, a resignation and a pardon, followed by Dems winning in 2024?

May wanna say YES - the alternative being what it is unless you are really bullish on one of these (many) Dem 2020 candidates.   Cant just be anyone.

All we have seen so far is a "summary" provided by a Trump appointee.  We haven't seen the report, so its premature to draw conclusions from it.

Trump said often, and loudly, that he expected his Attorney General to protect him from scrutiny.  Barr is doing just that.  Release the report.  Then we will know what Trump and his campaign actually did and did not do.

For sure.  But I've long felt that Trump could only be an unwitting tool, at best.  If they found any real evidence of him as a conspirator, my respect for him would actually rise.  :-)

"See, I told you he SUCKS!   Couldn't even be trusted by his own people to be in on the conspiracy"

Nice posture.

Did you notice the (“) (“ ) on either side of Despite multiple offers? They signify the remark  was quoted from the report, authored by Mueller.

I know that is what they were meant to signify.  Which is why I pointed out that you were wrong.  It is not a quote from the report, authored by Mueller, but a letter, authored by Barr.

But you continue to want to conflate the two.  For good reason, I think.

Are the second two points your summary?  Looks like you don’t need to see the whole report.

Second two points are evidence in the public record, some of which has been put there by Mueller.  As I said, it would be helpful to see how he contextualizes that evidence, next to an overall conclusion that he could not establish conspiracy.

Now that some of us have put Kid on ignore, it makes the replies to him all the funnier.

I liked Trevor Noah's take on the recent news....

Quote
Noah was particularly incensed by Mueller’s decision not to offer a conclusion on whether Trump obstructed justice.

“Are you sh------ me right now?” the incredulous host yelled. “Robert Mueller spends two years investigating obstruction of justice and his conclusion is ‘I don’t know, what do you guys think?’ ”

He continued, growing more irate: “That’s not an answer, Robert Mueller. That is the question we gave you. If I wanted my questions answered with other questions, I wouldn’t get a special counsel, I would get a therapist.”

I am sure Red is just.to busy lying about what the Barr summary is and says to update us all on Jussie Smollett but it appears those who criticized people for.rushing to judgment may themselves have rushed to judgment.

[Re Smollett charges]  Whatever happened, Repubs made it serve their purpose by inducing a state wherein one can't tell what is real and what isn't.  Any port squirrel in a storm.
