The bill had some bipartisan support, so those who are pointing out the value of humanitarian pressure to move food and medicine past the blockade aren't just Democrats. You keep being obtusely argumentative, insisting on everyone having a crystal ball.  Not the point - connect the dots on what happens when we pressure the Saudis to let humanitarian aid pass through and seek peaceful resolutions that don't involve bombing amd killing thousands of civilians.  This isn't rocket science.  The situation, IF YOU READ THE NEWS, is not just about dead kids but also the general condition of Yemen and most of its impoverished citizens.

kiidcarter8 is fine with the US killing kids because, you know, they are going to die with or without us.

Kiid only defends the indefensible. I suppose he supposes that this gets him off the hook as his defenses inevitably fail. I manly regard him as a dream catcher for bad ideas.

I have not been paying any attention to what was happening in Yemen, but after looking at the Wikipedia page on the subject it looks like the bad guys are the same extremist Muslims who have been the criminals in Iraq, and in Afghanistan, and in Syria, it is the same bunch of bad extremist Muslims.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saudi_Arabian-led_intervention_in_Yemen

Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, and all of the Arab nations have been supporting Hadi against the extremist Muslims, it is the moderate Muslims versus the extremist Muslims.

And the UK, and the USA, and Russia, are selling weapons to the Saudis, etc.

Meanwhile, children are starving.

UNICEF is working on everyday necessities such as clean water and food for the children.

https://www.unicef.org/yemen/

The answer of course is to have freedom of religion, and separation of church and state, and for the government to represent all citizens regardless of religion, etc. And for the good people to unite to stop the terrorists. It is easy to put in peace and rule of law once they decide to do it, and unite in the act of making peace happen. You cannot force your religion on someone else, and the government of Yemen must represent all people of their nation regardless of which religion a person belongs to, they need to respect a Jew the same as they do a Muslim. They need to realize that all men are created equal regardless of race or religion, etc. They need to unite and make peace and work together with UNICEF to provide clean water and food for the children, etc.

As UNICEF feeds the children, the children also have classes and teachers, and they can teach the children peace, they can teach the children not to hate. They can teach them to have tolerance of others, etc.

And as the adults are fed, and given aid, and as they rebuild, teachers need to go in and teach the adults the ways of peace. Education and job training is also very important for the adults. The adults will be blessed if they can find peaceful employment that they enjoy and if they can work to peacefully support their families. Even a little thing like a McDonald's fast food restaurant as a peaceful family business. Or a movie theatre as a peaceful family business. They need to learn the ways of peace.

The United Nations can provide security to make peace in Yemen while they build a Democratic government, and begin to build their nation peacefully. Saudi Arabia is biased because they are the home to Mecca, and the Saudis will not even allow a Christian church to be built in Saudi Arabia, the Saudis can help in Yemen, but it must be as a part of a team led by the United Nations, and with Christian and Jewish partners helping to make peace and rebuild.

Salute,

Tony V.

Nothing says "The DOJ is treating the Mueller Report in a totally unbiased apolitical fashion" like letting its primary subject see it before anyone else so that he can fashion a political defense.

Yep.  Just out to kill the children.  And make friends with the journalist chopper.  No other issues at play.

Well.  Adam Schiff had a two year head start fashioning a case with no substance.

Cocked and ready to fire at all times!  You never know when you're going to run across bad ISIS people.

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/a-gun-in-a-diaper-bag-went-off-injuring-dad-and-daughter-now-the-dad-has-died/ar-BBW0xGp?ocid=ientp

I revised that "cocked and ready to fire at all times" to "Cocked and ready to fire at certain times."

Pity Charise Thompson hadn't been armed to the teeth with handguns strapped to her body, and hadn't had a machine gun beside her at all times as she drove rural Texas.
Then, as the kidnapping, raping, knifing, bashing, kicking, drilling holes in ankles Mexican gang approached she could've grabbed the machine gun and said …"Back off dirtbags, come any closer and I'll turn you into Swiss cheese"...and not gone thru the horror she did.

Christians 'under siege', says Sydney archbishop following Notre-Dame Cathedral fire

Sydney's Catholic leader believes Christians around the world are "under siege" and hopes the fire at Paris' Notre-Dame Cathedral was not a deliberate attack.
Investigators believe the blaze, which destroyed most of the roof of the 850-year-old architectural icon, was an accident possibly linked to renovation works.
But Archbishop Anthony Fisher said after hearing of a recent "catalogue of fires" at churches in France, "it really struck me that we are, in some ways, under siege".

"Particularly at this time, we know there are those in the world who are opposed to all religion or opposed to our religion and it looks like some of them are determined to make that clear by burning down our buildings," he told 2GB radio on Thursday.

On the eve of Good Friday and the Easter long weekend, Mr Fisher reiterated the need for good to triumph over evil and to look after society's most vulnerable.

There could well be major drama in Australia if Christian churches start being burnt down.
