Guns and Roses did a song about killing his wife and burying her in the backyard.

----

[Chorus]
I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I used to love her, hm yeah, but I had to kill her
I had to put her six feet under
And I can still hear her complain

[Verse 1]
I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I used to love her, hm yeah, but I had to kill her
I knew I'd miss her so I had to keep her
She's buried right in my backyard

[Verse 2]
I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I used to love her, hm yeah, but I had to kill her
She bitched so much, she drove me nuts
And now I am happier this way
Woah, woah, yeah, take it for what it is

[Chorus]
I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I used to love her, hm yeah, but I had to kill her
I had to put her six feet under
And I can still hear her complain

------------

What if you wrote that song, and the government decided to look at it because some social media red flagged you, you could end up in jail, or in a mental hospital, or who knows what? Trump has already shown that he will even put little children in cages.

Or what about the band Suicidal Tendencies? I do not want the government deciding that I am crazy because I listen to Suicidal Tendencies.

And the same with actors, and poets. Edgar Allen Poe would have been locked up.

And writers. Stephen King would have for sure been on a watch-list.

And what about union leaders, and politicians, who can be targeted because of their politics and not because they are a criminal?

Gathering evidence on people who have not committed crimes is not a good road to go down.

Axl Rose is a little crazy, but he is no threat to the world.

Salute,

Tony V.

In a global sense, Bambi,

“You’re a rude bastard”...”you should get up earlier” (and stop listening to your #1 radio host).

Mrs. Bambi sounds alright. She can come back stateside any time.

Flute and harp? Is that what you learned in Aryan band camp?

Nah, the Orange and the Green;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qqs4EbU02As
The Irish Rovers - The Orange and the Green - Sung by the late, great Jimmy Ferguson [and band]

Oh it is the biggest mix-up that you have ever seen
My father he was orange and my mother she was green

Oh my father was an Ulsterman, proud Protestant was he
My mother was a Catholic girl, from County Cork was she
They were married in two churches, lived happily enough
Until the day that I was born and things got rather tough

Oh it is the biggest mix-up that you have ever seen
My father he was orange and my mother she was green

Baptised by father Reilly, I was rushed away by car
To be made a little orangeman, my father's shining star
I was christened David Anthony, but still in spite of that
To my father I was William while my mother called me Pat

Oh it is the biggest mix-up that you have ever seen
My father he was orange and my mother she was green

With mother every Sunday to mass I'd proudly stroll
Then after that the orange lads would try to save my soul
For both sides tried to claim me, but I was smart because
I played the flute or played the harp, depending where I was

etc.

#####

An Orange lad... bambu floats gently around in the religious mix quite happily...playing the flute or the harp.

Also
Substitute 'Right' for the 'Orange' and 'Left' for the 'Green' ...same deal.

Floatly gently around, friends on both sides of the religious, racial, and political divides...too busy eating the cake and drinking the Coke to "bash everyone in sight"...or "bash" anyone.

Should be interesting later this year when real live Americans come to visit and stay with bambu and friends, eh?

Hollywood Actress Rosanna Arquette apologized for being “born white,” saying she felt “shame” before locking down her Twitter account after a backlash.
“I’m sorry I was born white and privileged. It disgusts me. And I feel so much shame,” the Pulp Fiction actress tweeted on Wednesday.
Two days prior, Arquette tweeted an image of herself kneeling in front of American flags along with the words, “I’ll never stand for the flag again.”

Her version of the Kaepernicke ploy tailored to her;
Desperately Seeking Significance.

Red seems happy to mock and seemingly condemn an actress expressing an opinion of her disgust over racism and hatred casting an ever growing deadly shadow over the US. A shadow that threatens us all.

But he can't utter a single word damning the fascist wannabe dictator in the White House.

Red got his tax cut but he's morally bankrupt.

I'm not sorry I was "born White".
I'm not American, but it's much the same deal.
I wouldn't like to have been born Black...look how they were treated in Australia and America by their White masters.
I wouldn't like to have been born Asian on some garbage dump in Asia either...look how they were treated by their Asian masters.

Agree that artistic license should allow craziness.   I think Oil Can was talking more about overt death threats and the like.   Stephen King or Axl Rose are in the realm of fiction.  I see not much threat, so far, of involuntary commitment for reading "It," nor would doing so evidence an intent to lurk in storm drains and snatch children.

He took it along with his communion wafer from what was said to be a very reputable alterman, along with god only knows what else.

It cracks me up that Bambu thinks he’s white. I guess there’s one born every minute.

The president's spokesman made up crap about what Sherrod Brown and the Mayor of Dayton said about reactions to Trump in the hospital.

They called the spokesman and the president out for misrepresentation.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/07/politics/fact-check-trump-brown-hospital-visit-dayton/index.html
If I was Sherrod Brown that would be the last time I said anything nice about Drumpf.

Is there a link anywhere to the entire transcript of the press conference?

Red’s umbrage knows no reason or restraint. There was a dog like that once.

Meanwhile,

Been saying for years, “I ain’t afraid of all-Qaeda, I’m scared of Al Cracker!”

I wrote this damn near twenty years ago.

9/11 took focus off home grown terrorism and put it squarely on Muslims...
