I’m still gagging at the concept of Red as an educator.

Is he an associate professor of tax avoidance?

Finger painting?

Interpretive dance?

Wrestling coach?

I can’t imagin what else he’d be qualified for.

Trump to aide:  How bad was the damage in the Bahamas?
Aide :  it was devastating, Sir, widespread destruction.
Trump:  Good.  Have our people buy up as much as they can.....30 cents on the dollar value.
He congratulated Poland on the 80th anniversary of the Nazi invasion on Sunday.

Being invaded by Nazis on the West and Commies on the East must of been like winning the PowerBall in Trump's mind. Not every country has such good fortune.

It was great for Trump otherwise where would have he gotten the undocumented Polish workers  he stiffed on the Bonwit Teller demolition?

On the issue of getting my movie script made into a film, not only did Hugh Hefner like it, but other people have liked my script as well.

Tony, I generally like you and your optimism, even if sometimes you make less than no sense.

But it is very important for you to understand that in Hollywood, if somebody said they liked your script, but they do not put either time or money into it, then they didn't think it was worth their actually sticking their necks out for it.

That doesn't mean that it is bad, Tony, but it also doesn't mean that it's good. You need to find somebody outside you to give you an honest appraisal of its worth.

I do editing, but I don't think my skillset is a good match for your product or I would offer. And since I can't get the equivalent of such a person to tell me what she thought of my (half) novel, I suspect my contacts would not be helpful, either. More's the pity.

Good luck.

One of those nations allows few people to carry guns.  The other one, pretty much anyone can have any kind of gun they want, short of a bazooka or grenade launcher.
the right of an individual guaranteed by the US Constitution.

No, it's guaranteed by one of the lamer comparatively recent SCOTUS decisions in the last couple decades. If the McConnell Court-packing gets undone in the future, so does that.

I think Heller pretty much settled the question that the right to a gun is an individual one.

But Red's proud saluting of that right is hardly a counter-argument to Barton's post.  In fact it supports the point that Barton is making.  Let's see if Red can figure out why.  Shhhhhh!

He's an educator so it should be easy.

Heller set it about the same way that Plessy v. Fergusson settled that "separate but equal" was viable.

Thanks Josh.

When I am a successful producer, I would be happy to read your work and consider making your projects.

I have a film that needs to be made in Hollywood, then I want to go make films in Italy.

I want to shoot love stories in Italy, with beautiful women.

I would make films here in Anaheim, but the people here need to help me to make it happen. I cannot do it on my own. I tried to open a small studio with movie equipment rentals here in Anaheim, and I took the ideas to the Native American Indians. I took my ideas to the San Manuel Native American Indian Tribal Business Council of San Bernardino. They turned me down, but at least I tried.

Everyone here is welcome to submit your ideas to the Tribes, and maybe they will put up the money to make your idea happen.

Link...

https://www.sanmanuel-nsn.gov/

The Tribes are wealthy from casinos and comedy shows and rock concerts, and from other ventures. Seafood, oil, hotels, cafes, and on and on. The Tribes are wealthy, and they love to hear new ideas.

And when I am successful, you can all send me your ideas, and maybe I can help you to make your dreams happen.

And of course, we can solve the problems of the world here on Elba.

Salute,

Tony V.

Your research is pretty lame.

"last couple decades"

2019 - 20 years = 1999.

But okay, let's go back 30 years. You listed 2. I'd add a few you skipped, but...

"one of the lamer comparatively recent SCOTUS decisions"

Not the lamest. Not in history.

I was briefly inpressed that you had offered evidence to support your position and I was expecting you to try to support Heller, but you wisely didn't do that.

OTOH, you unwisely chose to ignore what I did write.

Wrong, again, Ward.

SCOTUS long ago settled the Constitutionality of the 2nd Amendment

Conversely, tell me how you think any of those supported the individual's right to own a gun outside of a militia.

Presser, for example, expressly permits states to limit individuals' rights to own guns!

Despite the individual right to own a gun being Red's favorite hobbyhorse, the Heller holding and that right has nothing to do with Barton's initial post on guns this morning.

You 're the one who brought up the right to own a gun, an argument which you, despite being an educator, are too dumb to see as supportive of Barton's argument
