I think Lawrence is the best QB prospect since Peyton. I'm sure both the Jets and Giants would take him in a second. Guys like Darnold, Jones even Mayfield are there every year. Lawrence isn't.

That's my inclination as well. I wonder what draft packages would be sweet enough to dissuade his rights holder to swap out of Trevor, who might be the the next generational can't miss college guy who is seen as a franchise QB like Peyton,or Luck.

As someone else noted,  that is the type of trade you read about on the back page of the NY tabloids for decades.

Yup like the Ram's trade of RG3 draft rights  to the Skins (3 1s) or the Cowboys-Vikes Herschel Walker haul. (too complicated to remember-but about half the Vikes and a trillion picks)

But for the Jesters and the Gnats, with the added NY fishbowl bubble.

And yes at least a 2 for either guy, maybe more depending on the team (the 1st pick in the 2nd round is a lot more valuable (than the 32nd).

Either team could get a compensatory 3 if they just let these guys go to FA.


IMO either NJ team jetisons their current QB for TL.

IMO2 the risk are too great to pass on him, unless you are overwhelmed with a massive offer-overpay.

Depends on 1) need and 2) next year's draft class, or FA, and where I figure I am.

And do i have to blow-up 2+ years or can I get someone who meets my needs and build around him with the draft and FA

But using a standard draft matrix as a team drafting 12th, it would take my entire draft (1-7) to come up with about 2000 pts on the 3000 needed to get the 1st pick in the 1st round.

I wouldn't rule out the G-Men yet.

There are about 4-6 teams with a decent shot at the Lawence lottery. And the G-Men seem to have more tix than most.

Eyeballing their schedule there are no gimme's. maybe 2-3 close wins, or they could be losses. 

Jets played a decent Bills team tough last week, I'm not postitive they go 0-2020. I could see them beating a disniterested and bad Patriots team if they play as poorly as they played last week,

But the Jets are probably the favs going into the 2nd half of the season.

Kid I said depending upon need, other draft options, and FA availability, 2-1s and 2-2s (at the 12 draft position) was "fair"  price for TL. 

I think BB adjusts and adapts all the time, its what he does, but i think he understands a good QB is critical to competing for championships, so I imagine he's thinking about how to get his next QB.

OPPORTUNITY was on the side of Edelman, as he showed early.  But you were right about his not being healthy enough after so many battles
