Will the Supreme Court grant trump work release to attend the republican national convention?

Have to say Hillary's competence and mastery of gov't and details would be perfect about now.  I think she could chew up and spit out this failed version of Trump.  Hopefully the Biden folks will get her out on to some news shows

Did you want Hillary to run again?

Personally I prefer Hillary to Biden. But No, her chance has past.
Just unfortunate how good she would look this cycle.  People are desperate for leadership, competence, and intelligence.  Exactly where Hillary excels and Trump looks like a chump.  You don't have to be warm or likable enough when people need a leader and an effective govt.  People wouldn't be distracted by an email server or other dumb ish during this emergency.

Tell me again how these are not terrorists, Kid.

Heavily armed men have stormed the Michigan State House and are right now threatening the governor and the state legislature.

State police are protecting Governor Whitmer and preventing the gunmen from reaching the House Floor, but the armed "protesters" are in the House Gallery, shouting down at legislators.

In any rational world, these goons would be called terrorists and the Army would be engaging them right now. These are not protesters, they are the enemies of democracy and they should be treated as such.

Quote
Some demonstrators in the Senate gallery were openly carrying guns, which is legal in the statehouse. One senator said some armed men shouted at her, and some senators wore bulletproof vests for protection.

WTF is this?
It's legal to enter the State capitol building and sit in the gallery above the elected officials heavily armed!?!  Someone might want to rethink that right quick.  Did you see the weaponry some of these protesters are carrying around in public.    Something bad is going to happen either inside or outside a statehouse.  One of these assholes will be so enraged or deluded or have mental problems to simply start pulling the trigger.

The WHO just endorsed Sweden’s approach.

What has the WHO got right during the pandemic?

They wouldn't even declare it a pandemic when it was clear that it was global and spreading out of control.  Then one day after re-affirming it wasn't a pandemic, they reversed course.  Bra-vo.

WHO has consistently praised China's handling of the virus.
How do you feel about that?

Last I saw, just last week I think, WHO's guidance was still that face masks should not be worn.

After this is over, or maybe even now, there needs to be a thorough investigation into why the WHO was so consistently wrong and useless.   Almost certainly not the right time to pull a good chunk of their funding, but at least Trump realizes the WHO needs to be held accountable for doing a complete botch job.

Oh. So you support Trump now?

Were Trump's belated, reluctant, half-measures to shut down the US economy better than doing nothing and choosing to go for herd immunity?

Yup.

Give Trump credit, he decided that 1M or 2M dead Americans would be bad for his re-election prospects.

70% of federal prison inmates test positive.

Your federal government at work.
Huh?

They didn't literally test 70% of inmates.   It's called sampling.   It's also how polls, surveys, food inspections,  shipping inspections, and all sorts of other things work.   Try to keep up.

Yep,  Trump pushing back on WHO is a broken clock moment.   And a pot meets kettle moment.

A video report by Stuart Ramsay of Sky News from Sao Paolo in Brazil shows workers in full Hazmat suits with mechanical excavators frantically digging 13,000 new graves in a local cemetery to cope with a surge of recent deaths caused by COVID-19 infections. The burials take place at the rate of one every five minutes.

https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-president-jair-bolsonaro-dismissive-as-overwhelmed-brazilians-dig-mass-graves-11981428

The pictures filmed by cameraman Eduardo Duwe at the Vila Formosa cemetery, the largest in Latin America, are simply staggering. From the air, the enormity of this digging operation is astonishing. Grave after grave stretches as far as the eye can see.

This is a public cemetery, mainly used by the poorest families. In Sao Paulo, the poorest areas are being hit the worst.

Brazil’s Health Secretary Wanderson de Oliveira resigned on Wednesday following differences with the far-right President Jair Bolsonaro over the handling of the coronavirus pandemic in their country.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/04/brazil-health-secretary-resigns-coronavirus-pandemic-200415153501070.html

President Bolsonaro has consistently downplayed the gravity of the disease, describing it as a “mild flu”, whilst touting unproven drugs, and attacking local governors over lockdown orders.

Hmm.
