Time will tell, Kam.

Mid terms, gubernatorials  first

God luck running on "Riots, Burning,Looting and Defund the Police" in 2022.

Republicans view being tough on China and depicting President Joe Biden as soft on the topic as a winning election strategy, with Beijing widely considered by the American public as a potential danger to the U.S., The Hill reported on Sunday.

Congressional Republicans are accusing Biden’s team and policies of failing to stand up to China, hoping to use the issue for both a midterm elections attack and the 2024 presidential race

...while ignoring Trump's whole charade scheme about China.

You seem to think Dems should not do the right thing for fear of retaliation against Harris or others.

No.  The impeachment was nonsense.  Political theater for purpose of future vote tallies.

Sad that our senators were used for such folly.

Your opinion is not even shared by your whole party.

The CRIME was admitted to.

The only issue in dispute was the constitutionality, which was both already tested and determined in the past (1876) and accepted by a majority of the Senators, including a bunch of the GOP.

The man was held to be guilty by 57 Senators out of 100, clearly not "Political Theater," except by your party - having multiple senators, possibly enough to get to two-thirds, admit that Trump had committed the crime of which he was accused, but who voted it down, is what makes it a travesty.

Your inability to come to grips with those facts speaks to you, not to the Dems.

Won't happen for at least two years. Probably not then, either.

As I said.

You've admitted declared that your party's ethics are corrupt.

I accept your statement.

As you said.

FBI does overreach sometimes

Caldwell's attorney denied his client is a member of the Oath Keepers or that he ever actually entered the U.S. Capitol building itself, citing physical ailments that would have prevented him from doing so.

Bank missed the part where just by going through with impeaching, not even convicting Trump the Democrats now need to face a Harris impeachment, if not others down the line.

Because the GOP doesn't need cause, just retribution, you're asserting.

Good to know you value their integrity.

Won't happen for at least two years. Probably not then, either. The House Republicans will remember.

We are pretty white.

That's sad that the brainwashing has prevented good folk from having open minds.

Yeah, its sad a lot of white people (NOT ALL WHITE PEOPLE) don't see non white people as Americans and instead of reaching out to then they make it harder for them to vote.

That's your opinion of all Republicans?

Wow.

That's your level of reading skill?

Wow.

He says "a lot of white people."

You respond with "your opinion of all Republicans?"

Wow.

Independent council with unfettered subpoena power is up next. I’m sure the GOP will enjoy the scrutiny and find it highly beneficial to their upcoming reformation.

Counsel, I hope!

And no, not a shred!

NEW YORK (AP) — The Republican Party still belongs to Donald Trump.

After he incited a deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol last month, the GOP considered purging the norm-shattering former president. But in the end, only seven of 50 Senate Republicans voted to convict Trump in his historic second impeachment trial on Saturday.

The 7 were also precedent shattering. Never have so many from the accused's own party voted to convict.

Good news, then sobering news:

The number of daily new cases and daily deaths continue to drop. We're seeing the drop globally, too. Deaths are now back to pre-Christmas levels. And we've had new cases down below 100,000 on a couple occasions.

OTOH, on Monday or early Tuesday we will pass 500,000 dead from COVID-19, at a minimum (despite what liars like Ward say). And even with the reduced rate of deaths and assuming no uptick, we expect another 100,000 dead by June 1. (If it takes that long, I will consider us fortunate. I think we are more likely to cross the 600,000 level more than a month before that - but it beats our getting there by April 1, which was the trajectory we had been on!

I am very glad that the dip projected by folks like IHME, delayed though it was, has come to pass and that I was wrong about its happening at all if right that it wasn't in the cards at that time. May I be wrong on the continued rate, as well.

Ending poverty in America is easy.

Having the will to do it is what seems hard.

Just how evil and demented do you have to be to get impeached in the USA. Try to buy out the Ukraine? No. Start a resurrection that causes multiple deaths, no way.

You mean convicted, Luee.

The man was impeached, twice.

And there should have been at least 9 votes from the GOP, since two of those who voted to acquit subsequently declared the man's guilt.

Hey, maybe there was a counting error! We had him convicted by a wide margin, but then those late votes...

Yes of course convicted. I try to be objective but he was so far gone. Republican keep the façade up. Mr. slumlord goes to Washington.

Why is there any conflict with objectivity?!

Objectivity means looking at the facts without bias, without allowing preconceived notions dictate your conclusions and actions.

The folks who voted against conviction claim to have done it solely on the bogus constitutional grounds that he is out of office, now.

The question is no longer one of guilt, objectively speaking.
