The president of United Mine Workers of America said Wednesday that the coal industry is not “back,” despite President Donald Trump’s claims.

Cecil Roberts said at an event in Washington that his message to Trump and others running for president in 2020 is: “Coal’s not back. Nobody saved the coal industry.” He said coal-fired plants are closing all over the country, calling it a “harsh reality.” . . . More coal-fired power plants have closed under Trump than during former Obama’s first term, largely because of free-market forces...

No shit. But these guys bought the bullshit Trump was selling them while they claimed to be disrespected by Clinton telling them to face reality while she presented plans for helping them move on.

Republicans are now part crime syndicate and part blood magic cult. They are all really disgusting.

Republicans to scrap primaries and caucuses as Trump challengers cry foul
The moves, which critics called undemocratic, are the latest illustration of the president's total takeover of the GOP apparatus.

Any comments at all from our GOP and otherwise right-leaning members?

Think this is good? Appropriate?

Christian Activist: When They Attack White Supremacy, They Attack Christianity

"The roots of this country," she said. She's right that white supremacy is at the root of this country, but it's not about Christianity, just white supremacy.
ALERT!
Patheos is a known conveyor of viruses.
You’d think a “ moderator” would know this.

You'd think an experienced poster like you would know how to substantiate claims like this.

You show me the evidence, Ward, and I will fix it.

Watch me not holding my breath.

The funny thing is that Patheos is now owned by right-leaning folks, not left.

Trump is terrified of the younger, more vigorous, and able players in the GOP field.

If it works, he’ll try the same for the general election.

Able was Weld  as a sad Lew saw Elba.

The cancellation of primaries is bizarre.   Some states it is harder to cancel a primary than others.   Heard that somewhere, but going to factcheck.   Spouse went to ER yesterday, took a nasty fall, so things a bit unsettled, back soon.

Happens fairly often with a sitting President. Primaries are.expensive for.partys.

I have no recollection of its happening in 2012 or 2004 or 1996. Lack of opposition, but not cancellation.

The examples given are a tad misleading. Like the 2012 ones - there was no actual competition, even if SC cancelled theirs. Pat Buchanan is a better example than the wannabes from Obama's 2nd run.
