Loeffler ran a terrible campaign, full of fear-mongering and repeating Trumpisms.
Horrible person.  She was designated the richest senator (her husband owns the NYSE).  I wonder who has that title now.?

Black NBA bench players have shorter careers than white players, is bias a factor?

One factor they don't mention is that some teams prefer to have a token white guy, likely worried the fan base and sponsors might not support an all-black team.  This used to be fairly common, imo.

Things have changed some in the 21st C now that there are so many Euros in the NBA (though increasingly black Euros) that it's easier to have a talented white guy.

I wonder if any teams might keep a white scrub in order to have a 2nd white guy, and not just one lone white starter/rotation guy.

Likely Mark Warner.

Maybe it's a choice?   I'm just guessing here ... could it be that white players don't voluntarily leave the NBA to pursue more lucrative offers overseas.  Are black players more likely to voluntarily leave the NBA earlier because of better opportunity elsewhere?

Could be.
Though China is the highest paying int'l league and I don't think many players opt for China when they are still NBA viable.  I'm also not sure why white players would opt for China less.  Though Chinese teams might prefer the optics of a Black player, perceived as higher level than Caucasians.
On the flip side, you'd think white players might be more comfortable going to Europe where they blend in, might have some relatives or ethnic connections, etc.

NBofA Trivia:

Which player made 1,000 3-pointers in the fewest career games?

LeBJ is 13th in career 3-pointers made.  1,958 and counting.
Just 30 more and he passes Joe Johnson, Dirk and Kidd to enter the Top 10.
So should be the 10th player to make 2,000 treys by the end of the season.
(though Lillard might catch LBJ before the season ends and could bump him down to 11th).

This is a simplistic assumption but I think white players usually come from financially well-off families who can afford to send their kids to basketball camps or who have a father as a coach etc.  So when their big-time NBA money-making days are done they go into coaching or some other vocation.  You don't usually hear about white players having to go overseas although I think many do go after college. But the ones who make it to the NBA usually don't.  I think your point about optics could also be a factor.  Black players may also come into the league with more motivation to make money to support their families and friend groups.  So they may not want to stick around making the NBA minimum when China can pay them better.  Marbury and Bonzi Wells come to mind.

Playing and living in China is a huge adjustment for most American players.
Though that's also probably true of playing overseas in general, such as Turkey, Philippines, Japan, Russia, and to a lesser extent the rest of Europe (and Israel) where you can get by okay with just English.

Kings shoot 60% FG and nearly 50% on 3's and ... squeak out a 3 point win.
They might want to play some defense.

They also seem to end quarters badly, which usually is an indictment of coaching.
They botched the end of the 3Q badly.
Then 4Q, 34 secs left, down 1 after Fox fouled out.  CoryJo brings the ball across the mid-line and Kings don't seem to know where to be.  It looks like 2 players planned to set a high screen with Hield also way out near them pointing where someone should be (the empty corner).  So Luke has to call timeout.

Kings have talent, but need discipline.
I've felt rook TyH has been their steadying hand all season, and he was out with a calf strain.
Seemed odd that LeBJ took a night off with ankle soreness but plans to play in the AS game.  Maybe they can afford the loss,l but it was the last game before the break and with LBJ Lakes likely win.

Lastly I like Doug Christie doing color commentary.  Sort of a cross between RegMiller and RichJefferson.  Has fun, jokes around, but keeps the focus on hoops and has good insight on what is going on.

DAL 11-3 since getting blown out by GS on Feb 5.
KZing has led them in scoring 3 of the past 4 games.
Went 5-7 on 3's including a late 35 footer from the edge of the center logo.
Also 3 blocks.  And kept Jokic largely in check (made him work).

Josh Rich with B2B 20+ point games, doubling his season total.
Both PHI last year and DAL this were terrific spots for him, and he's been adequate but not much better.  Not looking like he has another level (coming up on 28).

I used to think Tim Jr was X-factor in DAL playing well/winning.
But now it looks like JoshRich is the barometer.  When his offense is working, they look quite good.
He also helped shoot DAL out of the 4Q with some badly missed layups.
Of course, Luka is the engine, but it's a team game and you need other players to step up.
Luka was just brutalizing a slightly smaller defender in Derrick Jones Jr. (who is good at D).

KZ has been playing fairly well, but his movement still isn't great.
I thought after the A-S game, he'd be 100%, but now I think that might have to wait for next season
(or the playoffs, if they are lucky).  Mavs have been posting KZ more on smaller guys.
He's not fully comfortable there, but can often just turn and shoot right over anyone 6'8" or less.
