A guy in Afghanistan posted on my Facebook page asking that we in the USA help to get the good people out of Afghanistan, he wants me to help him and his family with his wife and 3 children to come to America. I do not know if the post was from a real person, but I can make a few suggestions for when the people from Afghanistan come to the USA.
The immigrants need to avoid the high crime areas, they should not come live in the worst neighborhoods, but rather they should seek out a good safe place, and if they have children then they will want good schools, and they will want jobs, etc. So there is a lot to consider.
Battle Mountain, Nevada, is a good place for new immigrants, and the land is cheap. They have low crime, low illegal drug use, etc. It is between San Francisco and Salt Lake City so restaurants can sell meals to travelers, etc, and truck stops are successful, etc. You can raise pigs and sell pork to the people in San Francisco. Or you can raise beef for the fast food restaurants, etc, etc, etc. A lot of the original settlers in Battle Mountain were Basques.
Merced, California, is a good place for new immigrants, and there are a lot of farm jobs. People need to invest in Merced, and build, and Merced needs to be flooded with money as the new immigrants come to Merced. The United Farm Workers Union can help the immigrants in Merced. And Merced will have a station on the California High Speed Rail.
La Junta, Colorado, is a good place for new immigrants, and land is cheap. The new immigrants can have farms in La Junta, and they can have families. The crime is low in La Junta, and the schools are good for the children. You can have a library and a telescope and you can be happy in La Junta.
Those are a few thoughts for the new immigrants, including for the guy in Afghanistan who wants to bring his family to the USA.
Salute,
