If one of them had not made a video of the hunt they would have gotten away with it.

And if there was no Rittenhouse video he was dead to rights

Bambu, Australia needs to welcome new immigrants from the Philippines. The Filipinos can help Australia, and they are not too far away. And the Filipinos are good Christians.

Bambu, here is a photo of my friend Pia Reyes from the Philippines, she was a model for Playboy.

Australia would love to have immigrants from the Philippines...

And the Filipinos are good Christians.

Here in the USA the people from the Philippines are doctors, and they are helping the homeless peoople, and they are nurses, etc, etc, etc. The People from the Philippines are great people.

Salute,

Oh shut the fuck up.

The perpetrators are convicted, and still facing federal charges. They're not going anywhere.

And the folks who tried to keep them from being tried are not convicted and are likely to not face time in prison and will go about their lives.

YOU shut the fuck up.

And get a clue, Ham. The system is corrupt. That they got tried was not because the system worked, but because people pushed hard enough when it wasn't working in ways that should not have to happen.

Fuck off, Josh.

It's case by case. That's the system.  Same as ever.

You can stop whining.

If you know how.

No, it's not case by case.

You can keep pretending that it is, but at every level of our justice system there is prejudice no matter how much you shut your eyes to it and deny it.

Just at the policing end of things:
Quote
Research has demonstrated that a racial bias exists in the business of policing including the racial profiling of vehicles ( Harris 1999; Smith and Petrocelli 2001; Meehan and Ponder 2002; Novak 2004; Farrell and McDevitt 2006; Ridgeway 2006; Warren et al. 2006; Epp, Maynard-Moody, and Haider-Markel 2014; Baumgartner et al. 2016; Horrace and Rohlin 2016), pedestrian stops (Harris 1994; Gelman, Fagan, and Kiss 2007; Fagan et al. 2010; Rios 2011; Fagan et al. 2015; Goel, Rao, and Shroff 2016; Stuart 2016), traffic tickets (Dunn 2009), drug enforcement and arrests (Black and Reiss Jr. 1970; Smith, Visher, and Davidson 1984; Beckett, Nyrop, and Pfingst 2006; Kochel, Wilson, and Mastrofski 2011; Lynch et al. 2013), use of force (Schuck 2004; Legewie 2016; Buehler 2017; Nix et al. 2017), and even in the decision to shoot white or black criminal suspects while in a training simulator (Geller and Toch 1995; Plant and Peruche 2005). While the mechanisms driving these observed patterns of racial disparity (i.e., racial profiling, stereotyping/cognitive bias, deployment, racial animus/prejudice) remain difficult to disentangle, as (Warren et al. 2006) attests, there is little doubt that racial disparities in policing outcomes do exist.

Similar sets of studies deal with prosecution, with sentencing, and with parole.

You want to call it whining?!

WTF do you think you are doing when you object to the truth, asshole?!

Please describe the justice system in which every level of it there is NO prejudice.

And you're still whining.

Schmuck.

Iceland.

Thank you for playing.

But Ham, there is a difference between systems which have some issues with prejudice and systems which have problems with prejudice at every level.

And a bigger problem when people like you then claim the system is working.

It's not working. And just because it is broken in lots of other places doesn't make ours less broken.

Here's a list of a whole bunch of places which are better and worse than the US.

Knock yourself out.

Two totally different scenarios...

If they had the judge Rittenhouse got, they would have gotten off like he did and become a node of metastasizing evil and like Rittenhouse shooting them on sight would become justifiable self-defense in every imaginable situation.

Justice systems require critical watchdogs, just as democracy does.  If three guys can chase down a jogger and murder him, and the system does not bring charges until months later and only after massive public outcry, then the system needs reform.   Media is not a safety net, because it only covers a tiny percent of all incidents. It patches the occasional hole.  Does anyone here think a city editor has staffing and column inches such that they can put a reporter on every single line of the police blotter and muckrake any irregularities?  If so, put the bong down.

AGAIN - it was buried by a dirty district attorney

How many cases did she bury?

How many other DAs are just as dirty?

Justice in this situation was a bug in the system not a feature.
