The Democrats talk a big talk, but they are not helping the homeless people. Taxes are high and people want to help the homeless and yet our streets are still full of homeless people.

They talk a big talk, but they are not helping the homeless people. Our streets are full of homeless people. And there is a huge shortage of psychiatrists. And more and more money is being allocated to helping the homeless, and yet nothing is being done. The good people who are helping the homeless are private citizens, from what I see, it was all started by private citizens, our Wellness Center, and the Mental Health Association, it was all started by good Americans who made it happen.

The private citizens are helping the homeless people a lot. The government backs them up, but it was the efforts of the people that made the help happen.

And they are sending more funding to the police, but the issue runs deeper than that, we need to help the foster children, and the abused women, and the drug addicts, etc, along with the mentally ill, etc. And we need Crisis Intervention Specialists, etc.

Anyhow, I do not support Nancy Pelosi. Nancy Pelosi is not doing anything to help the people of California, she does not seem to care about the homeless people who line our sidewalks. Nancy has high taxes, with little results from the high taxes.

Whenever republicans get power, they tank the economy and create a new wave of homelessness and despair, taking homes from millions who wind up on the streets.

Golf courses are an untapped reservoir of land for low income housing. The clubhouses will make excellent community centers. No one should be hitting links when people are sleeping on the streets.

Last Friday, the Pope Francis Center held a ceremonial groundbreaking for its new Bridge Housing Campus, an innovative facility (in District 6's Core City Neighborhood!) with a holistic approach designed to eliminate chronic homelessness.

The Campus will feature 40 studio apartments, a cafeteria, gymnasium, library, classrooms, and health clinic. It will also include an outdoor shelter with heated sidewalks and overhead radiant heaters for those who have normalized homelessness and struggle to come indoors. Guests will stay for up to 120 days and have access to intensive trauma-informed care; and staff will help guests gather documentation needed for permanent housing solutions, where they will transition to when psychologically and practically ready.

Once the Campus is operational, residents of the surrounding Core City neighborhood will have access to the health clinic, recreational facilities including an art studio, as well as life skills courses and a computer lab.
