Private businesses in America employ squillions of people...and buy plant and equipment from manufacturers.
Increase taxes on private businesses, they have to decrease their workforce and make the old machinery etc last longer.
...resulting in increased unemployment and lower sales of
goods to the said businesses.
Give private businesses tax cuts and fair taxation...the opposite happens.
