Oops!
Biden just  ditched embattled Neera Tanden's nomination as budget chief.
Tanden was an Obama partisan who championed his executive actions.
She was tabbed for the same reason under Biden except the courts, thanks to the GOP, now follow the Constitution and defer to Congress.
Her obvious disdain for the Constitution and her potty mouth on Twitter makes her a footnote in the first disastrous month of the Biden Administration.

Rank hypocrisy.

Red is offended by "potty mouth on Twitter."
No.
Joe Manchin was.
He has a vote in the Senate. A big one.
I don’t.

On the issue of Lady Gaga, she should have put up the money as a reward for the arrest and conviction of the people who shot her dog-walker and stole her dogs, there is no honor among thieves, they will snitch on each other quickly so they can get the reward money. By doing it the way she did, she made it seem that getting her dogs back was more important than getting justice for the poor man who was shot. But, if she put up the money as a reward, the dirt bags would snitch on each other, and she would have gotten her dogs back and the bad guys would be in jail. She did not handle the situation properly, in my opinion.

Didja ever think of competing for votes?

No because TKTPS.

Same shit I organized against in Ohio.

"What’s the interest of the Arizona RNC in keeping, say, the out-of-precinct ballot disqualification rules on the books?" Justice Amy Coney Barrett asked, referencing legal standing.

“Because it puts us at a competitive disadvantage relative to Democrats,” said Michael Carvin, the lawyer defending the state's restrictions. “Politics is a zero-sum game. And every extra vote they get through unlawful interpretation of Section 2 hurts us, it’s the difference between winning an election 50-49 and losing an election 51 to 50.”

Neera Tendan  led the  Center for American Progress and sold  Barack Obama on the notion his pen and phone could bypass Congress, a progressive goal dating back to Woodrow Wilson.
Joe Biden  wanted her for that reason given the even split among the parties in Congress.
She had published blueprints for ignoring Congress.
But her public  disdain for the Constitution and the role of Congress did her in.
Good riddance.

China speech: Leading Chinese diplomat attacks Australian free press

A leading Chinese diplomat in Australia says Canberra chooses to make enemies when others are making friends, laying the blame at the feet of the media for their poor relations.

James Morrow
Federal Political Editor

Foreign policy experts say the battle between the US and China over Taiwan has risen to a "top tier conflict" with fears mounting war could break out on Australia’s doorstep.

#####

Where are nuke-armed Britain and France?
If only Australia had nukes, nuke-armed subs at least.

XXX

China has chucked another tanty – and blamed Australia’s free press for the worsening relations between the two nations.

According to a transcript posted Tuesday to the Chinese Embassy’s website, senior Chinese diplomat Minister Wang Xining threatened Australia and said, “For a better future and for the next generation, most people choose to make friends.”
He also said that his country was the victim of an unfair campaign of vilification by the press that was giving Australians an unfair impression.

#####

Wonder if Mr Wang watched Sky News the other night, where it showed a massive new compound reported to be the embassy of China in Adelaide South Australia.
Comment was made that it looked more like a spy base than an embassy.

"Unfair impression"?

Australia's coal, timber, seafood, barley, beef industries are still hurting because of Mr Wang and his unfair trade bans.

Anyone see Dolly Parton get the vaccine today?

She bankrolled development, promoted it heavily and did not use that clout to get the vaccine before it was ‘her turn.’

She wrote ‘Jolene’ and ‘I Will Always Love You’ in the same day.

Damn.

Dolly Parton is a badass.

Bambu,

I tried hard to help the USA, as Japan stole our electronics industry, and as Japan bought our movie studios, and then as China has stolen our jobs, and I was always forced to face it.

When I worked at Universal Studios after community college and before acting school, the studio was owned by the Japanese. So, I worked for the Japanese. I wanted to compete with the Japanese, I did not want to be on their team and work for them. I wanted to represent the USA and American jobs, but I had to swallow all of that when I worked for the Japanese. I even had to escort the wealthy Japanese when they came to the studio.

And I was always against communism, and I watched all of our jobs going to China and it upset me. I spent years trying to improve the situation in China. Then, after acting school, I lived in a house in Malibu and one of my roommates was the daughter of a general in China. And we talked, and she told me that we can either have a blood bath, or we can learn to get along peacefully. China was our ally in World War II, and is a member of the permanent 5 members of the United Nations Security Council. So we need to be allies, while we work to improve human rights in China, and while we work to improve the world economy. I hate communism, and I hate losing all of our jobs to slavery in China, but I do not want a blood bath.

We need to be wise, and we need to improve the situation in China peacefully.

Also, with China we need to remember that the average guy in China is a poor slave who wants improved human rights and fair pay, just the same as any guy. The majority of the people in China want a better life, and they want to be like America. China can evolve peacefully the same way that the USSR crumbled and the people got their freedom. China needs labor unions which are independent of their government.

My favorite Asian country is the Philippines, they are great Christian people, and they can help with relations in Asia. And of course I support Taiwan. Taiwan is great.

We need to fix things peacefully, with education and hard work and with labor unions, etc. And yes we need freedom of speech, and the pen is mightier than the sword. I have been trying to make the world a better place with my pen.

I wish the best for Australia, and it would be great if we could get along peacefully and if we could all do trade so that we could all get a good paying job, or have a successful company, etc.

And China does not want war, or they would have went to war against Trump. Trump took China on, head on. That was a good thing about Trump, he put America first and stood up against the Chinese, that should have happened years ago.

Salute,

Tony V.

Does standing up to China include maintaining a secret bank account there?
