It depends on how you feel about long term energy storage,

http://www.greentechmedia.com/articles/read/most-promising-long-duration-storage-technologies-left-standing

Stacked blocks is a good one,  because there's a range of scales you can build at.   More versatile than pumped hydro.   And the engineering is all there.   I notice flywheels aren't mentioned,  but they are more viable now due to progress in materials technology and lowered friction losses.

Surprised no mention of hydrogen.   When you have surplus you use it for electrolysis of water,  store the hydrogen,  then burn it or pump through a fuel cell during trough times.

Finally,  there's a discount system proposed for electric cars whose owners volunteer idled cars to serve as grid storage.  Surplus hours you charge the cars,  then draw off their batteries when needed, running the house meter backwards.   Could also put fleet cars to use this way when motor pool demand is low.  The whole grid participates in storage,  basically.   Going on a trip, and leaving a car at home?   You send a message to the power company, hook up your car,  and earn points while on vacation or visiting Ward at the Alzheimer's care facility.

Every cabinet seat has been confirmed. It’s nice to have a real and serious President in this country again.

Can we hit net-zero by 2050? The scale of the challenge is huge, but that does not make achieving the goal impossible. What makes achieving the goal impossible is a failure to accurately understand the scale of the challenge and the absence of policy proposals that match that scale.

When you see an “auction of promises” in climate policy for emissions reductions, ask instead for rates of deployment of carbon-free energy technologies and rates of decommissioning of existing fossil fuel infrastructure. Then do the math, and see if it adds up.

Here is a big hint, it doesn’t

https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/22/politics/sidney-powell-dominion-lawsuit-election-fraud/index.html

This is rich!

Sidney Powell argues in new court filing that no reasonable people would believe her election fraud claims

Since no reasonable people would believe her, therefore she has done no damage to Dominion.

But... I do not think it is wise of her to have sworn to that in a court of law!

Now, every court in which she presented a case, claiming it was serious, should now be fining her for frivolous lawsuits and the opponents should be seeking legal fees.

Red filled his diaper he was laughing so hard.

He also seems to think, due to his extensive research reading half an article from Forbes, that we should add a couple of trillion to the clean energy side of the infrastructure plan and pay for it with a carbon consumption tax to speed up fossil fuel plant retirement.

This a very good Idea. I will forward it to the true American leader, President Joe Biden, vanquisher of dirty republican bastards everywhere.

Probably best not to contact the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison for a while...he was in tears today at a press conference...as another sex, rape, sexual harassment, some men behaving disgustly badly scandal rocked parliament house in Canberra.
All the sex allegedly happening in the meditation room, was consensual.
He's seemingly being blamed for it all...not for doing any of it...but for allowing it to happen (lol, he's only been Prime Minister for "5 minutes in time".)
He was in tears as he detailed his love for his daughters, wife, widowed mother...and how he
wanted women to go with him as he effects change.
Amidst the tears he got mixed up about a case...women were then seen on my screen complaining
He was then shown walking off alone down the corridor, a broken man.
Broken by the constant pressure and attacks.

That should be the last press conference or interview he gives on the matter.

When you put bully, thief, pervert, and lazy know nothing together you have all the makings of a staunch conservative anywhere in the world.

ScoMo is far too nice, caring, generous of thought and action...that's his problem.

He should now take the rest of the week off, sleep in, get out of bed only when fully awake, have a leisurely breakfast, have his home computer serviced, and enact my policy of only governing by thoroughly checked press releases, and return next Monday ready to fight.
First thing he should do is avoid question time in parliament. Where you have to shout.
Not an ounce of decorum...worse than angry town hall meeting.

He should disappear for the rest of the parliamentary term.
He should meet in private with his senior ministers, police chiefs, etc to formulate policy and course of future action.
He called all the "political staffers", male and female, hundreds, in the parliament building (from whose ranks all the trouble has sprung) to a huge meeting this afternoon.
Methinks "it would not have been pretty".

That approach totally worked for Charles I in England, Louis XVI in France, and some Romanov somewhere else. Why doesn’t Scummo have you in his cabinet? You give such good advice.

Biden dispatches top officials to Mexico, Central America as border crisis grows
Separately, a bipartisan pair of border-state senators sent a letter urging the White House to act swiftly to address the influx of migrants.
