Red, hospital admissions and deaths in the vaccinated world are proportionally much lower than in previous surges.

Vax boost the immune system and permits survival of those who wouldn't survive a natural infection.  I would favor the plan being advanced in places like Spain and UK, to declare the virus endemic, and treat it as such rather than as a crisis.  And that works best with vax AND natural immunity.

who is arguing against vaccinations?

http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/22876361/freedom-to-vote-act-senate-filibuster-what-next

The Washington Posts Greg Sargent reports that Sen. Angus King has a draft of an Electoral Count Act reform bill that would address these concerns by clearly prohibiting vice presidents from going rogue, requiring a supermajority to reject electors in Congress, and creating a judicial review mechanism that could block state legislatures from sending their own electors to Washington.

Good first step.  And if people see fights at the state level, in need of donations, they should post them here.   Like the battle to keep polling stations open all across that county in Georgia, linked here yesterday.

California is giving $10,000 to college students in exchange for serving our community...

https://abc7.com/gavin-newsom-college-tuition-public-service-program-money-for-students/11487152/

We need to do more to help students to attend college, and we need to train doctors and nurses, etc. As the Baby Boomers age we need doctors and nurses. And we need psychiatrists to help the homeless, etc.

And we need to do more to help our students to find work after they attend college, we need to get our graduates jobs at the movie studios, and in government, and at the hospitals, etc, and we need to help them to get into other good jobs as they graduate.

We need to reward our citizens who attend college and who seek to lead good honest lives. If you are honest, and if you work hard, and if you study hard, then you need to be able to succeed in America.

We also need to make sure that Business students have access to Business Loans when they graduate, etc.

And we need to hire our new architects to build housing for the homeless, etc. We need to put our graduates to work.

Salute,

Tony V.

Robert Reich
Former Clinton Labor Secretary in a now-deleted tweet.

Tonight, Republican senators lined up to shake Kyrsten Sinema s hand, Democratic senators should have given her the backs of their hands.[/i

Ah, of course, follow the blue print laid down by Hillary, demonize those who have different opinions.
They are DEPLORABLE, RACIST, HITLER LOVERS, or JEFFERSON DAVIS/BULL CONNIR wannabes.

If Biden wants to turn his failed presidency around he would be advised to dump his reliance on Bernie Sanders
If he did he would pick up Joe Manchin.
Amazing how deplorable, racist Bull Connir [sic]wannabes hate being reminded of what they are.

The irony of your posting such a thing is thicker than pea soup.

And far less nutritious.

https://www.cnn.com/2022/01/20/politics/thomas-massie-covid-19/index.html

One Dem Rep and One GOP Rep down with COVID-19. The Republican Rep, Massie, notes that he has mild symptoms and is unvaccinated. He thinks he has had COVID before and that is why his symptoms are mild.

He works hard to maintain his ignorance, folks. Please don't explain reality to him.

Meanwhile, Rep Cuellar (D-Tx) saw the FBI searching his place in a "court-authorized" raid. No statement of what he is looking for. Not a good week to be a US Rep.

On the issue of Russia, and the Ukraine...

Yes, we must protect the Ukraine, and we must protect Taiwan, etc.

And we need to appeal to the best in society, instead of the worst, we need to appeal to the good people of Russia to take control of Russia and to demand peace, the same way that we march for peace here in America. The people of Russia must get out and march for peace.

And the Russians have influenced our actors, and our theatre, and ballet, etc.

We can send Jon Bon Jovi and other American Rock and Roll bands to do a concert in Moscow for peace. It can be a huge concert in Moscow to plead for peace in the world.

We can also organize it so that people from Latin America can join the French Foreign Legion to strengthen France, etc. And people from the Philippines, etc.

Blessed are the peacemakers.

And when I worked in Defense I worked on Missile Defense, we wanted to learn how to shoot down missiles. I just helped to build a few laboratories, and a conference room, but then the area where I worked went on to do a lot of good things that are no longer top secret, they helped to invent laser eye surgery, and they also helped to invent the Iron Dome which protects Israel, we worked together as a team with Israel. I worked to help to create a place where people can learn how to stop missiles. And laser eye surgery was just an added bonus, as have been many things with NASA, etc.

We need to stop wars. And we must not let brutal dictators make the rules. We must make our own rules. We must not let an evil crazy person take us to war. We need to take the power away from crazy people, once they become crazy then we need to stop supporting them, as the people of Russia need to stand up for peace and not support anyone who is for war.

Salute,

Tony V.

Pope Francis said to have faith that we will have peace with Russia. He is a great Pope, and he is a Peacemaker.

Fact checked, and clarified, the original story and Totenberg's word choice.
