Republican work requirements for food assistance wind up costing us billions adding to the debt.
Republican cruelty and stupidity is always both worthless and expensive.
We can give tax breaks to people such as "Food Without Borders" and to other groups which feed the hungry. And we can give tax breaks for people to donate to churches and the churches can help to feed the hungry.
In Anaheim we have Bruno Serato who owns the best restaurant in Anaheim, the Anaheim White House Restaurant, who has fed millions of meals of hot pasta dinners to poor children here in Anaheim, he wrote a book "The Power of Pasta" about feeding pasta to the poor children. We need to support people such as Bruno.
And I support Food Stamps, I support feeding hungry people.
And I want us to rise as a nation. On Maslow's list of the hierarchy of human needs we need for people to achieve the easy stuff like food and shelter so that they can rise to the top levels of actualization where they can solve problems and become doctors and psychiatrists and scientists, etc.
At Pepperdine now they are teaching the Business students to be altruistic, and that is what we need, we need for our good smart people to rise to the top and then for them to care about our neighborhoods and communities and to serve and help our people.
If I owned Universal Studios I would be very altruistic.
Anyhow, I support feeding all hungry people. And I support doing as the Bible asks us to do in Matthew 25; 31-46.
Anyone who wants to punish the poor hungry people is sick.
Salute,
Tony V.
