If a candidate has dropped out, they can simply refund the money to their donors. They can also donate it to political allies, political parties, or (with a 2,000 dollar limit) other candidates.

Biden should hammer fuck the republican party and see what the Supreme Court has to say about it in his case and immediately appoint 4 new Justices to the Supreme Court with a majority of the Senate. And he can wail on any Senator in the country who stands against him. Reproductive rights, universal justice and the rule of law are at stake here. It is not that hard to explain to the vast majority of Americans. This is a bigger moment than Pearl Harbor and saving the New Deal.

Let the republicans have their convention not knowing who they are running against. That will help them express a coherent positive message to the people.

In the meantime Biden should be sitting down with his best experts to figure out exactly the Supreme Court gave him the right to do and then with the key people in his administration to figure out how much of it they can stomach doing to save the republic. After the obeisance to his lack of bladder control in Milwaukee, the time arrives to thoroughly defeat what republicans will have locked themselves into in full view and with all the formality they can muster.

Democracy needs to prepare for most likely eventualities, lean into what it needs to do in most all circumstances and not act precipitously. Democracy by which we now know means the Democratic Party in the USA can and must win this cycle.
