I will quickly point out that trump is one of the people who should feel least threatened by cannibal attack solely based on how he has kept himself up over the years. The man is gross and inedible as well as out of his fucking mind.

Ha!
Even brain eating Zombies would avoid his bovine spongiform encephalopathy ravaged Central Nervous System.

Brent Terhune, as th man who drove Trump's garbage truck

What's also funny is that Charlie Kirk thought this was real, and posted it on X as genuine.

Our voting systems are quite secure, Scientific American reports.  A useful look at how our country's voting methods have evolved and become more robust.

One reason for that confidence is the adoption of voting technology that combines machine efficiency with the verifiability of a paper trail. This is the result of a shift that began two decades ago...

The more Trump and the GOP ratchet up complaints about fraud pre election the more it appears their internals must be mighty shitty.

Could be.  I have wondered if reading tea leaves and sheep entrails are their primary methods of data collection.  And even the entrails have noticed women and Latinos distancing themselves from maga.

LMAO the mike moment and General Ripper.  And some of my cheerfulness is due to Anne Seltzer's survey for the DM Register in Iowa.  Wasn't Trump up some like 20 points in Iowa early summer?  I know Seltzer is considered the gold standard in polling, so hoping this massive shift is real.  Doesn't bode well for some counties in the swing states like WI or MI.

It was 20 in June, with Biden on the ticket. Iowa has not been subject to much presidential polling because it is not a swing state, so the data on whether there has been a pro Harris trend or this poll is an outlier is lacking.

Saw an interview with her this AM. She said that while Harris had gained a little support,, the real change between the September poll which showed Trump up by 4 or so was who reported as a likely voter. Trump voters had always been massively likely voters, but people who previously had been possible voters are breaking massively for Harris in her polling. The caveat though is that 9% were not for either candidate. Some were undecided, some were supporting fringe candidates, but a not insignificant number had already voted and tolled the pollsters to piss off. Which sounds like Trump supporters to me. Also, she underplays historical modeling, for better and worse, in favor of an assumption that her polling reflects changes in the electorate.

Yeah gauging the elusive species that is the LV is so tricky.  This poll shows the massive gender gap in registered voters (Roe, misogyny, MSG rally, and so on)...

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4953612-harvard-institute-poll-gender-gap-harris-trump/

but it's hard to tell, except in some specific places, how politically activated all these younger women are.  Similar lack of clarity with Latinos and how much blowback from the island of garbage routine.  One hopes these all translate to motivation towards the polling station.

Then there are reports of half-empty Trump rallies with audience members leaving after just 5 minutes - this could be erosion from the base or just the normal attention span of MAGA cultists.  And Nick Fuentes has denounced MAGA as a cult, so that's potential loss, too.

MSG rally was unpleasantly redolent of the infamous German American Bund Nazi rally held there in 1939, and that could motivate those who remember their history or heard a pundit who pointed it out for them.

I may just have to black out news for a couple days.  But I won't because I have a penchant for watching through my fingers.  And my new hand lotion smells great.

Latest national polls like Marist have Kamala up 4. Considering the difference in ground games established by the two campaigns and that Harris has projected Hidden Figures energy while trump has been rolling late-stage Elvis during the final weeks, a 4-5 point final result putting 5 or 6 of the swing states in her column is the most likely result.

Election fuckery by right wing villains is the hardest to read of the factors that can still influence the outcome.

Still think Trump will win, not so much because polls under count his support so much as because of the reason Obama flagged: there is a not insignificant number of people politically inclined to Harris that are uncomfortable with gender. There is a reason RedDick and his MAGA masters went at Obama so hard on that issue and lied about his message: he is right that gender matters to some in the minority communities and that is what the Trump campaign has been planning on all along.  But I do have to say the Trump is certainly talking, and behaving, like their internal polling is telling them otherwise.

You're not wrong about that gender thing, and it attaches specifically to the office of POTUS.  I feel there are people who are okay with electing women mayors, governors and senators, but balk at a female commander in chief.  Though if Mexico with its machismo traditions can elect a female prez, in a landslide no less, it kinda makes you wonder.

At this point, I can only say that a terrific cold open on SNL does no harm.

Yes let's have a president who can open doors, teehee.

Sexism might be a big help getting trump to his 46 but it will not stop getting Harris to her 50.
