Yankguy says protection with some risk is not a good thing.

You've got it backwards, Kids, according to the numbers.

We say "risk, with some protection, is not a good thing."

The deaths from guns in the home are a greater risk than the savings from home invaders.

PUTZ

Oh, look! Mr. "I'm polite" has found something worth name-calling about to him!

And what did he choose? Another of those areas with those pesky facts that bother him so much from time to time. (Like each time facts are used to the next time they are used.)

SCHMUCK

Hey, I can type Yiddish insults, too. Who knew?

You have zero respect for those brutally attacked, defiled and murdered

You are simply one sad case for the files

I don't know if the fires in Brazil constitute a wise way to manage the Brazilian rain forest, nor to my knowledge does any one in Elba.

I'm a biologist, with some training in ecosystem and wildlife management.  Rainforests are not of the type that is managed well by fire.  Fire, in such an ecosystem, leaves a soil that becomes nutrient-poor and heavily leached within a couple of crop cycles and can never recover its original biomass density and ability to sequester carbon.   A longterm resulting shift to open savannah often leads to desertification within the tropics.

IOW, a total goatfuck.
And is not happening in Brazil.
But, what about Bolivia?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deforestation_of_the_Amazon_rainforest

Check out the nearly 70 references provided in the article.  The loss of 20% of the 1970 cover is well documented.  You are a thoroughly dishonest cunt.
Your snark only reinforces your ignorance.

Many of the fires appear to have been set in order to clear land in already deforested areas, as the ground is prepared for farmers’ crops or livestock. Such fires can spread, but if illegal  Brazil should stop it and punish the perpetrators. Why wouldn’t it?
Brazil is a democracy and responsive to criticism.

Which is why the prez committed troops to the area, then fired the guy in charge of overseeing it, since he had complained about how their gov't was handling it.

And... "many of the fires," but not all of them. Nor was there evidence to support the claim that they had been planted by the enemies of the prez to embarrass him.

From the one with zero respect for any of those suffering from the Trump tariffs, from the Central American travesties leading to fleeing families, the kids imprisoned illegally by the Trump administration, the kids scattered to the winds by the Trump admin intentionally designed to make reuniting them with families harder, the thousands killed by underregulated handguns, and countless others.

You wouldn't care about "those brutally attacked, defiled and murdered" if they didn't fit your argument of the moment, you fucking hypocrite! I care about more of them in a passing thought than you care in your most sensitive moments!

You fool nobody, you fool.

The everlasting legacy of Obama the Arrogant.

Student debt is soaring—it is now nearly $1.5 trillion—and defaults are at a record.

FEC is effectively shut down for most purposes with the loss of quorum and no sense that the Senate is going to act on the sole Trump nominee. Trump, of course, has only nominated a GOP member to a group whose membership requires 3 from each party.

So... the Feds are now concerned about ransomware for the 2020 election.

Of course, the new voting machines (electronic, that is) are using Windows 7, which Microsoft is about to stop supporting.

Funny how Trump was killed for criticizing Cali during their fire crisis.  For allowing - through poor planning maintenance - it to be as bad as it was.

Now, in the Amazon?  Critics do abound.

No one was setting fires in California to clear cut forest for short term economic gain...
