I'm not particulalry knowledgable about global medical reseach, but I assume there are labs all over the world doing research, 24-7-365. What i don't know or understand is the level of coordination of info sharing intra-country or inter-country, or bewteen Harvard, MIT and Stanford research labs due to the lucrative payoff as drugs get approved and patented and marketed.

As i recall the US and France had to agree to patent sharing before they would readily work with each other on AIDS research. I would think those agreements take time and could delay the efforts to share dats and eventually find cures.

No.

The states begged the feds to coordinate acquisition of protective gear. The feds said nope, not their thing.

That's one example and it hurt us badly.

The feds threatened to withhold funding from schools that did not do as Trump wanted, despite the president's claim that he was going to let states handle their own situations.

That's another. There are many.

"A mob does not have the right to charge your property or come on your property," Parson said at a news conference last week. "They had every right to protect themselves.".

Good thing he's not a judge, though I imagine that's a hint that he'll pardon them after they're convicted or they plea deal out.
