Eric Trump sat for his deposition on Monday. (Virtually.)

Must have went quite well. Didn't make CNN's home page.

Probably went as well as your grammar lessons. Heh... "have went"...lmao!

Point is it is causing millions of people to tune out.

How do you know why "millions of people" are tuning out?
In the NBA’s case it may be impacted as well by the league bowing to China.
For the NFL it is tied obviously to L’Affaire Kaepernicke.
Considering its previous dominance in TV it is now slipping even though it is the only major sport to adhere to its regular season dates and times.

So, in other words, you don't know shit, and can't back up your assertions with any facts.

Impressive.

Kyrgyzstan going off the rails. Or getting on track. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference. But they seem to be going full Belarus, with massive protests challenging rigged elections. After the riot police cracked heads, the protesters seem to have taken over some key gov't buildings. And freed the ex-leader jailed for corruption.

I actually know a Kyrgyz girl in Shanghai. Her father is German. During the Soviet days, there were 100K ethnic Germans in Kyrgyzstan. Post-1991, this has dwindled to about 10K, as most emigrated to unified Germany. Post-1941, Stalin rounded up all ethnic Germans and dumped then into Kyrgyzstan (and Uzbekistan), where many were forced into work camps.

Edit: the opposition has taken over the Kyrgyz White House and a number of other key gov't buildings and is claiming they are in control ...

It’s just a matter of “black on black crime in Chicago”

Is it? What do the stats say?

I am sure our level of caring is low.

So I post you a link, with several paragraphs addressing your question, and you can't be bothered to reply. But Larry gives you a sarcastic one-liner, and you engage with that as if it's an un-ironic and serious theory. Adios, dimwit.

"malfunctions"

The governor, to his credit, has ordered an extra day for voter registration.

The top U.S. public health agency said Monday that the coronavirus can spread more than 6 feet through the air, especially in poorly ventilated and enclosed spaces. But agency officials maintained that such spread is uncommon and current social distancing guidelines still make sense.

However, several experts faulted the updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance. They said the virus can spread more easily than the CDC seems to be indicating, and suggested that the public should wear masks even in prolonged outdoor gatherings when they are more than 6 feet apart.

The virus “is traveling through the air and there is no bright line. You’re not safe beyond 6 feet. You can’t take your mask off at 6 feet,” said Dr. Donald Milton of the University of Maryland School of Public Health.

Jeez, it's like a bunch of elementary school students putting together a book report.

I've been saying for most of this year that 6' is a fairly arbitrary guideline, and people should wear a mask in public when other people are around. That is, in countries such as the US which so far have failed to contain the virus.

This all seems so basic, and yet the CDC is finally starting to acknowledge that 6 feet is not terribly meaningful or safe.

If over a million people in Florida are newly registering to vote, that might be a good sign as regards things to come.

Also, the now-massive celebrity funded thing that is paying millions in fines and court fees of ex-felons, helping them jump the "poll tax" hurdle - very encouraging.

I think it is not the CDC. I think it is politics, same as with the now-blocked FDA rules for vaccine approval.

Farah defended the President’s photo opportunity and the photographer near him on the Truman Balcony Monday evening, which, she claimed, projected strength to foreign allies and adversaries.

“In these moments in our country, it's highly important that the commander in chief expressed confidence to our domestic population, but it's also very important to our allies and adversaries who are watching closely to see, is he projecting an image of strength? And that is exactly what he did last night. Precautions were taken. His mask was not taken off until he was distance from others,” she said, adding that the photographer on the balcony was just a “brief interaction.”
Farah said Trump is “looking forward” to the Oct. 15 presidential debate and will come to it as a “survivor.”

“He's ready and I think he's gonna go in with an even new mindset on the coronavirus. He's firsthand, you know, lost friends to this, he has grieved with Americans, but now he himself is coming as a survivor, and I think you're going to hear that in his debate,” she said.

Trump’s video message, she suggested, “While taking the safe mitigation practices that we've known since the outset of this virus, Americans need to get back to ordinary life.”

Those comments, again, fly in the face of what has been practiced publicly at the White House.

Farah claimed that the White House “always” takes public health precautions, despite consistently holding events with no social distancing and actively eschewing masks, but suggested “even more” precautions will be taken as the West Wing grapples with the President and first lady’s diagnosis and multiple staffers and others in the president’s orbit testing positive for a highly contagious, airborne virus that is likely to infect other close contacts.

Pressed again on the fact that the administration just has not taken basic mitigation practices, she said, “We feel comfortable working here, those of us who are still here. We're taking precautions in the West Wing. It's a serious time. We need to be washing our hands, we need to be wearing masks when we can't socially distance,” she said.

Asked whether the pandemic would become a central part of Trump’s campaign messaging, she said it has been, and is “one of the most important things afflicting our country,” going on to reiterate Trump’s message not to be afraid of the virus, saying, “On this date you are the most likely to survive and get treatment for coronavirus in the US, than ever prior, because of this President's leadership and how he's prepared us to deal with it.”

As for the President’s condition, she said he was improving “dramatically and quickly,” despite the lack of transparency over the last few days, reiterating that he is “not out of the woods.”

Trump, she said, is “energetic” and senior staff are telling him to “slow down the pace.”

She also suggested that he is “meeting with senior advisers” as he recovers from coronavirus: “He is here at the White House. He's making calls. He's meeting with senior advisers, his priorities are focusing on the American people.”

Trump calls for repeal of Section 230 after social media companies take action against his false Covid-19 claim
From CNN's Nikki Carvajal

Shortly after social media companies took action against a false claim about coronavirus posted by President Trump, the President tweeted calling for the repeal of Section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934.

“REPEAL SECTION 230!!!,” the President wrote, in all caps, on Tuesday.

People do useful work at WR. They are not to be fucked with or put at risk unnecessarily. The White House is another matter. At the White House, they commit and cover up crime while intentionally and unintentionally attacking the United States with sabotage and terrorism. If he’s going to Bully anyone it should be his illegal appointees, racist sociopaths, grifters, and frauds. This obviously includes his grown children. The best place for trump to attack this infection on the body politic is stuck inside the White House where he is.

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is a leper colony for degenerate idiots right now. Since it was basically a dead space where nothing useful or productive has happened in over three years, it’s a good place to quarantine the most useless mouths in the country.

As usual, no answer to the question. Hitchens's Razor.

For many people watching the plague rats of the GOP perform their daily rites of incest and cannibalism is sport enough.
