This is for those of you concerned about the Whitaker appointment as a potential threat to the Mueller investigation:

I suppose those of you who hope he will stop it might get something out of it, too, but it seems unlikely, based on your past practices.

The Central American caravan [to be featured on my tv news tonite] is an invasion...just like Trump says.

An invasion just like in Europe until countries there built fences to stop people calling themselves refugees just walking into/thru countries ...and 'country shopping'.

The what? Oh yeah! The Caravan! The Invasion of the Brown Wave...

The one thing Trump didn’t say much about in ninety minutes.

He should have...his whole future depends on it.

Black, Brown, White, Brindle or any other colour, it matters not.
What matters is the integrity of the nation's borders.
"Cheap labour" is no excuse.

Here you go...integrity of borders/visa systems...

https://www.northerndailyleader.com.au/story/5747446/border-force-probes-after-nsw-truck-crash/?cs=9397

Border Force probes after NSW truck crash

Border Force officials are investigating claims a trucking company is exploiting workers on student visas after one of its trucks was involved in a crash in NSW.
Three people were hospitalised after the vehicle - owned by Hari Om Transport - ploughed through a McDonald's car park at Fairy Meadow near Wollongong on Monday.

The company's fleet was later inspected by authorities, who found all 10 had defects - including bald tyres, brake issues and inoperable seatbelts.

"In some cases, people will have their visas cancelled (and) they'll leave the country."
Employers could also be charged with exploiting workers or acting outside the law, he said.

#####

You'd hope employers in the 'Christian' West are making sure that students etc driving their trucks hold the proper licences.

Employers hiring illegals or exploiting workers should be named, shamed and fined huge amounts.

To what end, pass such bills? To be like the GOP's endless "repeal Obamacare" efforts?

The GOP “repeal Obamacare” efforts, a wildly unpopular effort to screw millions of Americans, did drive debate and amplify discussion of healthcare to the point where Democrats had to endlessly defend themselves on the issue until now where it has become widely understood that healthcare is a right. The difference is that Democratic bills would benefit Americans and cover issues that have huge majorities supporting action and sane policies.

The idea is to get republicans on record as to why they encourage school shootings, give aways to foreign corporations, and poisoning the drinking water.

https://abcnews.go.com/US/texas-judge-releases-group-juvenile-defendants-losing-election/story?id=59042447

A Republican lost his race for reelection to be a judge in Texas.

After losing the election, the next day he released the juveniles who appeared before him.

Quote
Harris County public defender Steven Halpert, who was in court when the string of releases occurred, told the newspaper that Devlin was "releasing everybody."

"Apparently he was saying that's what the voters wanted," Halpert said.

I like trump’s strategy for ensuring members of his party who lost races are ready to really help him out in the lame duck session.

"Acosta acted inappropriately"

OK

I happen to think yanking a microphone back when it is being taken from you also constitutes poor and aggressive conduct toward a woman
Maybe he should have grabbed her by the pussy.  You have no problem with that.

Don't you love it when he tosses a slow pitch right over the plate?   Heh!

Another shooting,  another (to borrow from William Carlos Williams)  "pure product of America goes crazy. "  And thisxwas with a handgun,  which will no doubt fuel right-wing arguments that regulation of assault rifles is pointless.   It seems hopeless... we're never going to have the real conversation about the second amendment we needcto have.

From the way the Republithugs have been acting Muellers report will not make any kind of difference, no matter how it comes out to the public unless Trump is indicted by some sort of criminally-applicable charges. The Dems would need two thirds of the Senate to vote to impeach Trump (if that is the course of action they choose) and there is no way on earth that enough of his republican enablers in the senate would vote for that. It would give Susan Collins one more chance to do her now-famous ‘will I or won’t I’ dance again, but two thirds of the Senate? No way.
What public disclosure of the Mueller report might do is to lower Trumps favorably to such a level that it would be nearly impossible for him to be re-elected in 2020, no matter how united his brain-dead base remain. Unfortunately, two more years of Trump could feel like ten, so it would be up to the Dems in the House to continually battle him on everything for those two years until his re-election would be impossible.....or until that final Big Mac heart attack claims him.

Given that impeachment is only an indictment (by simple majority in the House), there would be no point to it now, given that there could be no conviction by supermajority in the Senate, where an impeachment case is tried.  With the present Senate, a House impeachment would be a symbolic measure.  And one that would antagonize the antiChrist President to the point where he could lash out in ways that could be very dangerous to the world.  I think the strategy has to be keep the President strutting back and forth in his gilded cage and as calm as possible.

Did I make the Iggy List?  Fingers crossed!

I would suggest that Alabama and Wrest Vagina go their own way and secede with all the other deep red cracker states and form a republic called Gilead, where women know their place and wear white cowls around their faces and "reproductive rights" means "the right of men to plan families and maintain bloodlines."  Anyone violating their sacred duty as breeding maid or wetnurse will be given a choice of stoning or, in Deep South regions, fed to alligators.
