The court can count and understands very well that giving crooked grift Paxton’s lawsuit any more credence than the Pennsylvania petition got makes them the court of a 17 state union, a union of the poorest, most backward, and unpleasant states, from which they will be welcome exactly nowhere else and which will fall logarithmically into further shit the moment it breaks free.

That play is on idiots like Louie gohmert and Tom cotton. Alito and Kavanaugh don’t think that’s any kind of step up for themselves.

Right wing propaganda machines are working overtime. They need to be kneecapped to within an inch of the moral limit which is both subjective and mutable. That said, this coup is collapsing under its own weight combined with the pressure the reality based community is putting on it.

Hey Bambu - give us some more on China vs AUS.

I don’t think the trumps and their entourage will be fleeing to either of those places. They will more likely be using your money and the money of many many rubes like you to buy themselves into an out of the way spot in the UAE or Saudi.

What the banks will do with all that property they foreclose on here and abroad is beyond what I’d hazard to guess.

https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/elections/2020/12/09/federal-judge-throws-out-last-election-challenge-pending-arizona/6506927002/

No more election challenges in the Arizona courts.

Quote
A U.S. District Court judge on Wednesday tossed out the last election challenge pending in Arizona, dismissing its sweeping fraud claims as "sorely wanting of relevant or reliable evidence."

"Allegations that find favor in the public sphere of gossip and innuendo cannot be a substitute for earnest pleadings and procedure in federal court," U.S. District Court Judge Diane Humetewa wrote in a blistering 29-page ruling. "They most certainly cannot be the basis for upending Arizona’s 2020 General Election."

Judge Humetewa was appointed to be US Attorney by President Bush and again by President Obama, then appointed to the bench by President Obama.

"If granted, millions of Arizonans who exercised their individual right to vote in the 2020 General Election would be utterly disenfranchised," she wrote.

"Such a request should then be accompanied by clear and conclusive facts to support the alleged 'egregious range of conduct in Maricopa County and other Arizona counties ... at the direction of Arizona state election officials,'" she continued. "Yet the Complaint’s allegations are sorely wanting of relevant or reliable evidence

I think you should read the piece first.

Seemed pretty clear and straightforward.

“ Giuliani, 76, has been traveling around the country defending baseless allegations of widespread voter fraud in the presidential election. He has appeared in several public venues without a mask.”

Also - that said - you cant simply refute the link between narcotics use and crime.

Since narcotics use has been made illegal, the two are intertwined.

Otherwise, once you criminalize ordinary behavior, which marijuana and other drug use is for many, police become the enemy, people are under threat of arrest at all times, respect for the law goes down.  You're already a criminal in the eyes of the law, so venturing into physical crime is easy.

Further the relative high cost of drugs, which is largely due to their criminal status and the risks involved, leads users to commit crimes to afford the inflated prices of illegal drugs.  And since there is a lot of money involved in drug dealing, guns and violence get involved.

Again, cut out the violent criminal middlemen.
Moreover, once you put someone in jail for drug-related offenses, the incarceration costs run about $40K per year, oddly keeping in sync with college tuition.  Not to mention police and court costs.  Drug treatment centers have to be a cheaper more humane alternative.

Hey Bambu - give us some more on China vs AUS.

Same things are happening to other countries, apparently.
Australia said No to China, no more letting it buy and own whatever it likes in the country.
No more putting up with its playing "I spy with my little eye" either.
China is angry.
One day America will have to say No, or let China keep buying up all of America, leaving nothing for Americans to own.
Then China will likely to the same things to US exports.
Joe has a difficult road ahead, seems to me.

As America is suffering a 9/11 each day through the rest of trump’s misadministration, this is the lasting image of the republican party - bitchy, whining, ignorant, crooked, terrified, vindictive, disloyal, useless, and so fucking ugly - that the next several generations of Americans will carry in their heads and their hearts and into voting, booth or no, cycle after cycle after cycle.

Trump steaks are what your family becomes if you allow republicans to wield any power on your behalf at all.
