Thanks,  for chrissakes.

I found a 90 million estimate from the CDC here...

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/burden.html

(updated this month)

So your figure is within that range,  and that estimate of nearly one in three Americans lends support to the overall scientific consensus that mask wearing and social distancing is quite important with a disease that has so many asymptomatic carriers.
So wear a mask if it makes you feel better.  Better yet plan your routine according to the risks you can encounter or how it can affect other people in your life.
Point is scientists have led us to unsustainable lockdowns by overstating the deadliness of COVID-19.

We know that in Wuhan Chinese doctors failed to detect mild cases which led to thousands of cases  exported to the world.

But now, thanks to Operation Warp Speed, we have a chance to do what didn’t happen last spring:
Concentrate on on vaccinating the most vulnerable first and building up herd immunity.
If only the the news media will start focusing on the realityof COVID-19.
In that the prognosis is not good.

Somebody ask the moron what news media he has been watching for most of 2020, as my sources, all MSM, including NYT, Boston Globe, WAPO, WSJ, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, MSNBC, have all been pretty consistent in informing Americans of the dangers of covid.

I suppose its better late than never for Red to finally start to understand the risks, but its a damn shame people of his ilk, ignored the risks and intentionally or not, spread the disease and deaths for months.

As an aside, someone might mention to Red that Operation Warp speed was an apparent success from the development-pharma side, in streamliing the approval and regulatory process, but its been a cluster fuck from the government side in actually getting vaccine to people.

Operation snail's pace might be a more apt moniker.

its as if the Trump administration wanted to sabotage efforts to help people who desperately want and need help,

and who could be that cruel and malevolent?

Why are you a Republican again, Tony?

I am a Republican because of Abraham Lincoln, who freed the slaves, and because of Ronald Reagan, who made all of our immigrants legal so that they could legally work and join labor unions, and so that they could call the police in the case of an emergency, etc.

Hopefully Biden will make our immigrants legal, and we do not need a wall on our Southern Border.

And we need to finish our high speed train in California, and more high speed rail routes can be built, including between Anaheim and Las Vegas, and maybe between New York City and Washington DC. The USA needs to have high speed trains.

Salute,

Tony V.

The republican party has turned its back on Reagan and Lincoln. They’ve turned their backs on TR and Ike as well.

Denny Hastert seems to be the pole star for current republican morality and political tactics, which is how a crook like trump took over the republican party so easily. The ghost of Reagan is embarrassed by the cult of heartless empty flimflam his party has become.

In Trump's mind anyone who needs help, whether it be to get vaccinated or money for food and rent,
is a complete loser and therefore deserves to die.

DeepRedStainWart approves of Trump and his view of things.

nothing new here folks.

Trump has received more help in his lifetime, from his rich father, to his holding the bag bankers, to corrupt Russian oligarchs than probably any American ever. What other successful American businessman has destroyed so many businesses and lost so much money are more beholden to the forebearance, help and second, third and fourth chances from a diverse group of characters including Jamie Dimon to Vlad Putin?

IMO Red is not that complicated or deep, he has a narrow view, of what's good for me today?

Red is not the most strategic of thinkers.

Red's just a hungry stupid semi-evolved caveman.

If he discovers fire by accident, we're in trouble.

Somehow, this just seems so emblematic of 2020:

Perdue is quarantining.

Hell, even ESPN has done so: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/29633697/heart-condition-linked-covid-19-fuels-power-5-concern-season-viability

https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/29608840/mapping-college-football-crowds-covid-risk

Surprised the Columbus Sports Maven missed that, aren't you?

NOT.

There’s a West Wing moment at the end of the post.

The Dems have two great candidates in the Georgia Senate runoffs.

Do what you can to get them over the finish line and remove some republican taint from our houses of congress.
