Is exploding the deficit "basically conservative" or does that make him a "socialist cocksucker?"

Yes. Exploding the deficit is basically conservative. As defined by every conservative President since Reagan.

Despite his tweets, missteps, and scandals the economy had a great 2018.

Where REDSTATEWARD openly defines what he will tolerate a grossly unqualified, incompetent and corrupt President for.

Jokes on him, of course, since we had a better economy under a President who was none of those things.

That's why you don't want to talk about it, just cite polls.

I talked about it extensively, with supporting numbers. Your only response was “Hillary lost.”  Its your only response now, in fact, even as you accuse me of being unable to back my argument with facts.

If polls are the end-all what are Nancy Pelosi numbers?

You don’t want to go there REDSTATEWARD. As compared to either of your main guys, Trump or Ryan.

Another scintillating rebuttal.

Reading this, kind of brings home how much politics has changed, how much our parties have shifted.  And what "presidential" used to mean.

A post that, again, can't support its hyperbole.
But if we had a better economy under Obama than we do now what  is your proof?

I notice you quoted no statistics on the state of the economy.

LOL.  I sincerely hope you are being ironic here.
Not only do you not understand the state of our economy you don't know the meaning of irony.

LOL again.  Guess you weren’t being ironic.

REDSTATEWARD, I inserted that last line for good reason.  In the past when I pointed out that there has been no Trump bump in the economic numbers (and in fact the Obama economy outperformed the period when Trump has been in charge when it came to job creation) your response has only been that if Obama’s economy was so solid, Hillary Clinton would have been elected.
Obvious to everyone, I guess, but you.
You know who else it is not obvious to? The idiot who keeps blathering about how the reason Clinton lost was because he called him and his fellow racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic and Islamaphobic Trump supporters deplorable. It might be ESPN who makes that claim, but I am not sure.
Time to let it go.  Obama was the main reason for Clinton's loss.  She compounded his effect by the deplorable comments.

Russians were the main reason. Your posts make clear they are still holding your balls inside their tiniest nesting doll.

Props to those in the GOP willing to stand up to Trump on his mistake of a foreign policy.  To the extent that this mitigates the damage that he does to the global order, prospects for the spread of Democracy, and the lives of innocent people around the world, bravo:

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/29/us/politics/trump-foreign-policy.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage

But it needs be said, and the above does actually touch on this, that this would not be happening if not for the general political weakening of our "President" at the hands of the opposition party.  And it took the empowering of that opposition to do so, as the "President's" own party was, to this point, shamefully unwilling to do so.

Yes, it is funny that anyone would say that lower deficits is the conservative position when deficits consistently rise whenever a conservative is in the position to reduce them.  Paul Ryan was the great Knight for conservative fiscal responsibility.  What is his record on deficit reduction while Speaker?

The "Conservative" position on deficits is that they are bad when the President is a Democrat.

I’ve posted the proof on a number of occasions.  Including just yesterday.  If you had any substantive response outside of “Hillary lost because Obama’s economy was bad” I’d be tempted to repost it.  However, the only thing you’ve ever proven by your arguments here is that the effort would not be worthwhile.

Conservative economic policies that produce the same results but endanger future economic performance by increasing damage to the environment and driving up deficits are not better by virtue of their being “Conservative.”  But you’ve never actually ever elevated concern for the economy above your rooting interest for your team.  And that’s a point of view that isn’t interesting enough to me to engage.

But I do not like deficits.
But so what?

...is a phrase you would never see from REDSTATEWARD if the President did not have a (R) after his name.

Ftorn, thanks for that disturbing mental image.  Somehow can't help connecting the mysterious unmonitored meetings of Vlad/Donnie with Matrioshkas now.

Looks like we're west of the worst.  Five here, while it's 23 below in Sioux Falls, three hundred miles east.

Fortunately, San Diego is still far from the reach of any icy tendrils. We’re getting rain again soon though.
