His worst nightmare coming true. A woman is kicking his ass.

Warren?  For now her numbers look good.

Has Joe B fallen on his sword for the supposed good of the party?

Not Warren.

Asking Ukraine to investigate Biden to aid his campaign is enough.

Nope

Trump: ‘Someday, and that day may never come, I will call upon you to do a service for me...’

Zelenskiy: ‘oh boy....’

Didn't realize Pat Buchanan was still alive.

That was my reaction too.

I thought he died in the bunker in Berlin.
Heh.

For the paywall impaired:

Quote
Giuliani viewed Zelensky as a potential ally who could be enlisted, among other things, to provide dirt on Biden. That effort hit its climax when Trump pressed Zelensky to investigate Biden, as the call details show.

But, importantly, The Post’s report details that national security officials didn’t want that call to happen, and worked to prevent it. Why? Because they feared that “Trump and those close to him” — i.e., Giuliani — appeared “prepared to use U.S. leverage with the new leader of Ukraine for Trump’s political gain.”

And....

Quote
This is, of course, exactly what did happen. That now appears to be one of the subjects of the whistleblower complaint that top Trump officials are refusing to transmit to Congress, in apparent violation of the law.

Along those lines, this revelation in the Post report deserves special attention:

Though the whistleblower report focuses on the Trump-Zelensky call, officials familiar with its contents said that it includes references to other developments tied to the president, including efforts by Giuliani to insert himself into U.S.-Ukrainian relations.

If this is right, it means Giuliani’s efforts were among the things that alarmed the whistleblower enough to take the extraordinary step of trying to alert the congressional intelligence committees. And Giuliani’s efforts are likely among the things the intelligence community’s inspector general deemed an “urgent concern.”

And remember, the whistleblower complaint concerns other matters in addition to this call that we don’t know about yet.

Which brings us to another aspect of this tale that continues to go underappreciated: Giuliani has openly admitted he wouldn’t have done all this without consulting Trump. As Giuliani put it: “I don’t do anything that involves my client without speaking with my client.”

Tick.
Tock.

And thanks to Banks for the memories of Ernestine.  One ringy-dingy.

I like the way that the Native American Indians view the world, in the way that they respect their elders, the elders are older and wiser and the young people all respect their elders. You do not look to the children for wisdom, you look to the old people. And of course the elders need to be wise and they need to do what is best.

And I like the way that the Native American Indians are tribal, and no one is alone, they have their tribe.

I also like the way that the Native American Indians respect our environment.

A lot can be learned from the Native American Indians.

Salute,

Tony V.

Certainly

But, importantly, The Post’s report details that national security officials didn’t want that call to happen, and worked to prevent it. Why? Because they feared that “Trump and those close to him” — i.e., Giuliani — appeared “prepared to use U.S. leverage with the new leader of Ukraine for Trump’s political gain.”

That last part is supposition, but even if so it has nothing to do with what eventually occurred

That's fine.  Rudy's a big boy

And remember, the whistleblower complaint concerns other matters in addition to this call that we don’t know about yet.

Right.  Just HOW frivolous it is is yet to be known

Which brings us to another aspect of this tale that continues to go underappreciated: Giuliani has openly admitted he wouldn’t have done all this without consulting Trump. As Giuliani put it: “I don’t do anything that involves my client without speaking with my client.”

Again - sure.

I appreciate as always Rudy's commitment and service to this nation

Donald Trump? A man with such a clear sense of right and wrong (he would have to have one, to so unerringly select wrong every time)?

NOTHING (burger) in transcript stating there will be aid withheld from Ukraine.

- Again - I am sorry - getting it from Fox.

And again you have been steered wrong by them.

A) its not a transcript but a summary.
B) Zelenky brings up military aid, and Trump responds "I want you to do us a favor though..."  You could argue that isn't evidence of the reason that aid was being withheld, but it isn't "nothing."

Right.  Just HOW frivolous it is is yet to be known

The Trump-appointed IG did not think this matter frivoulous.  I'm not sure why we should start with that assumption.

And certainly, the call summary that was released by the administration does not point to it being so.
