Naturally there is something perverse about declaring anti-fascist organizations domestic terror groups, while refraining from doing the same for actual fascist organizations.  What does that say about us as a society, and the values we stand for, yes, yes, and of course far right groups have killed far more people in actions that can be described as actual terrorism, unlike any violent demonstration that can be credited to Antifa.

But related to the George Floyd protests?  There is evidence, now on public record, that white supremacists are taking part in the protests to stoke violence.  Minnesota officials and others have pointed to white supremacist activity on the internet calling for operations there, and there has been documented photographic evidence of out of state vehicles openly identified by white supremacist stickers.

I'm not saying Antifa isn't involved in the violence, but its a fact that violent white supremacist groups are as well.

Singling out Antifa while giving White Supremacists a pass is Charlottesville all over again.  We have a racist "president", backed by a racist DOJ (see Barr's comments on the matter) heading a police force that has undeniably racist elements within it, including but not limited to police officers drunk on the lack of accountability afforded them by Trump, and clearly influenced by his "enemy of the people" anti-press and protester rhetoric.  Its sick.

Rush Limbaugh says Trump loves pouring gasoline on the flames.  No wonder this fire is burning out of control.

The President tweeted on Saturday that if protesters breached the White House's fence, they would "have been greeted with the most vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons, I have ever seen." And he called on Democratic officials to "get MUCH tougher" or the federal government "will step in and do what has to be done, and that includes using the unlimited power of our Military and many arrests."

So, now he's threatening (a) violating the constitution and (b) using nukes against Americans?!

Certainly (a). (b) is just his usual sloppiness of language, though I doubt he will provide useful clarification.

Trump's choice of words "vicious dogs" brought to mind the horrifying images of racist Bull Connor, the police chief of Birmingham Alabama unleashing German Shephard attack dogs on civil rights protestors in the early 60s.

Trump knew what he was saying and who the red meat of his hatred would most appeal to.
