Seattle autonomous zone...the police station is now "a community centre".
Apparently homeless people took all their food, so they were advertising for more.
They have a George Floyd shrine on a wire fence, with lots of pretty lit candles on the ground.
Black guys jazz band playing at night.
Reminds me of the Easter show.
Look like all uni students.
People sitting at tables having petitions signed.
Black man selling BLM T shirts, am older White man bought one.

Maybe all the "shake down" thugs were hiding...or in a different part of the city.
This lot were camped and operating on the baseball field and basketball outdoor court.
Left alone they'll probably go home of their own accord.

Or a product of Fox's fevered imagination.

Another 'cure' that is not yet a study or a published paper. Still, potential ways to help are worth a look:

Quote
Jack Cover, a NASA researcher, began developing the TASER in 1969.[10] By 1974, Cover had completed the device, which he named Thomas A Swift Electronic Rifle, or TASER[11] using a loose acronym of the title of the book Tom Swift and His Electric Rifle, a book written by the Stratemeyer Syndicate under the pseudonym Victor Appleton and featuring Cover's childhood hero, Tom Swift

The deceased did not run toward any of the cars of which there were plenty. He presented no threat to anybody. And had they just let him walk to his sister's when he asked, none of this would have happened.

One opinion heard today is that this may have been grounds for firing.

Change?
Sure.
Good ideal...might be achievable.

In the meantime, everyone obeying all the existing laws, all the time, would be a good start.

And if the existing laws are racist? (Which many of them are.)

Or if the folks enforcing them are racist? (Which many of them are.)

Is your take that folks should just lie down for injustice, even if it costs them their lives to do so?

Clayton County police officer stops 5 teens (13-15 years old) at gun point. This is the policeman's perspective on things.

Thoughts?

Beijing shuts its schools amid a "severe" outbreak. (In quotes in the headline.)

What?  Origin is a food market?  But Bo said...

Not sure if you've had a stroke or not.  But the extreme vagueness of your posts make it rather unclear what you might be trying to communicate.

Beijing was in the process of gradually returning to normal.  On Monday 1st thru 3rd grade was set to reopen, fully resuming elementary schools.  That got put on hiatus.  And then they decided to completely close elementary schools again.

110 cases in Beijing, all traced to one location, and they are going for a district 2nd lockdown of the sort everyone seems certain that the US would not stand for and could not tolerate.

Keep an eye on Beijing.  My assumption is they will take strong measures, do lots of testing, contact tracing, disinfecting and get things under control in a few weeks.  Of course there could be a super-spreader event or someone who couldn't be traced creates a second mini-outbreak.

But 110 new cases detected so far in this outbreak, mostly asymptomatic.  Everyone in Beijing will resume mask wearing.  There will be a lot more isolating and less public doings.  Schools closed.  Some re-lockdown where needed.  A lot different than the half-measures and lack of leadership in the US.

Again, my main takeaway is that this can be a pretty nasty virus, but it's also not that difficult to limit and block its spread.

Which laws are racist?  that you don't think should be obeyed.  Breaking any existing laws is not a good idea.
