How is there a masking option at schoolhouse that wouldn't be day-long?   It makes no sense to mask only until lunch and then everyone breathe on each other until 3 pm.

This sounds like some sort of equivocation to me.   Either masks are important,  and therefore need to be on all the time in the classroom,  or they aren't, in which case no point in having them at all.

They should still be tried and the jury should still decide if they are guilty or not, as if there were actually a chance of justice being done.

If the governor wishes to pardon them, there is nothing to be done, same as with any politically motivated pardon.
