The doctor should've been just suspended for a time, given a second chance.
Think maybe the shame might've caused him to close down...people are very judgemental.

The story here is the man cheated on his wife.  He wasn't stripped of his license.  Then he had to deal with his own shame.
Not surprising that his practice would be affected by people who are free to choose not to support an adulterer but that's 100% on him.
He could've kept practicing.
