George W...shown in the media today...bumping elbows with a female Republican candidate.
Bumping elbows is not "6 feet apart".
Likely don't live in the same house, and were not wearing masks.

At least 26 cases of coronavirus in three states are being linked to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Minnesota reporteds 15 confirmed cases of Covid-19 among people that attended the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota earlier this month, Kris Ehresmann, Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Infectious Disease director, said in a media briefing call Friday.

Of those 15 confirmed cases, one person was hospitalized and health officials say they expect to see additional cases in the next few days, Ehresmann added.

MDH is urging Minnesotans that attended Sturgis to self-quarantine for 14 days, and if they are feeling ill after returning from Sturgis, to please get tested and self-isolate until results are received, Ehresmann said.

At least seven Covid-19 cases in Nebraska's Panhandle region have been tied to the rally, Kim Engel, director of the Panhandle Public Health District, confirmed in an email to CNN.

South Dakota state health officials announced Thursday that a person who worked at a tattoo shop in Sturgis had tested positive for the virus, and could have possibly exposed people during the event last week.

The person was an employee of Asylum Tattoo Sturgis, officials said.

30 minutes ago, on a lazy, sunny but windy, winter, Saturday afternoon...I flicked the tv from a home-styling show to Sky News channel to see what was going on outside in the big bad world...to be confronted by Outsiders Guide To The Death Penalty.

Yes, 'Law and Order', 'That's what they do in America', 'US Election' etc.
Kamala Harris got a mention during the program by one contributor, maybe the 'American' guy for allegedly 'not allowing certain evidence in trials' or something.

Apparently two Independent politicians downunder have started a campaign or somehow sparked 'Death Penalty' talk...'sentences too lenient', 'killers  are getting out too soon' etc.

The DNC was church. The RNC will be a perp walk. Stark contrast for voters to contemplate.

The postal goon general perjured him self bigly in today’s hearing. NBC has the evidence. He’ll probably get asked about that a few times in the House.

There won’t be any air space for coverage of the mad grifter’s ball.

Reports in multiple states of questionable practices by the GOP teams working to put Kanye West on ballots.

This should be no surprise, given that the man whose organization is working many of these states has already been convicted for voter registration fraud once before, pleading down to a misdemeanor. Mark Jacoby's the name.

So far, the only state he's gotten on that is close to being a purple state that the Dems won last time is Colorado, which Clinton took by 4.3% in 2016 and where Biden had a 13 point lead last anybody looked. I think the GOP may have messed up.

https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/chicago-politics/kanye-west-kicked-off-illinois-ballots-in-presidential-race/2326172/

No Kanye on the Illinois ballot.

https://www.ohiosos.gov/media-center/press-releases/2020/2020-08-212/

Not on Ohio's ballot, either.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/wisconsin-election-board-rejects-kanye-west-s-bid-state-s-n1237542

Nope, not on Wisconsin's, either.

https://nypost.com/2020/08/05/kanye-west-drops-effort-to-be-on-new-jersey-presidential-ballot/

He gave up on New Jersey a couple weeks ago.

West Virginia said no, due to a lack of signatures.

Montana has said no. He submitted 8,800 signatures, needing 5,000. But under 4,000 of the signatures qualified.

https://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory/kanye-west-qualifies-presidential-candidate-arkansas-72313494

He had enough signatures for Arkansas.

https://www.vulture.com/2020/07/kanye-west-is-officially-on-the-ballot-in-oklahoma.html

He made it onto Oklahoma's ballot. It took $5,000 and somebody paid it.

https://www.denverpost.com/2020/08/06/kanye-west-president-2020-election-colorado/

Colorado says he made it there. He had $1,000 and 9 supporters, which is all he needed.

Utah and Vermont said yes, too.

Still waiting for Minnesota, Missouri, Tennessee, and Wyoming. Tennessee seems likely, with its 294 signature requirement. He may make it in Wyoming, but it won't be without breaking the law there, just as his team had in Wisconsin.

Poor folks doing the equivalent of that get jailed far longer.
They sure seem to.
Something about the reputations of the rich and famous suffering harm, the 'fall from grace' earning a discount.

They also have better lawyers and legal advice.  Know how to work the system.  Look and act more like the judge than poor people, etc.

So Pence has dismissed Qanon.   Slightly saner than Trump.

I'm guessing he still believes in the female conspiracy to inflame his lust and destroy his marriage while having lunch.

Thanks for that Hayes-Tilden article,  Josh.   Fascinating.  And that kind of deal with the devil only fucks up the nation for a century or so,  right?

Of course they would.

It's not like we have any evidence to support the notion that humans are rational.
