I agree with that. My biggest fear.

Which post are you referencing, the possible secret Trump voters,  or Bambu staying in mom's basement when it floods?

Oh,  of course.   Never mind.

The irresponsible Wisconsin Supreme Court strikes again:

Why do you think Hawkins should be left off the ballot?

Why do you think Hawkins should be left off the ballot?

Because the rules are clear and he did not have enough signatures that met the law.

IOW, the same reason the Election Commission chose to keep him off the ballot.

LAW and ORDER, Kid! Applied equally to all paraties.

The Green Party submitted more than enough valid signatures to be on the ballot in Wisconsin. The Commission’s staff said the petition had 3,623 valid signatures, well over the minimum 2,000 signatures required. But the Commissioners divided along partisan lines over counting 1,834 signatures that were signed on petitions with Angela Walker’s former address. Walker moved within Florence, South Carolina during the petition drive and the initial signatures were collected under her old address. Walker’s address was correct the petitions were signed, but the Democratic Party members of the Commission refused to accept those signatures.

Pelosi, through her presence in Chinatown in late February, was playing down a serious threat.

I agree.  Pelosi was wrong and I thought so at the time with what I knew about COVID.  Anyone paying attention to the outbreak in China would have plenty of reason to worry with what was known at the time.  No special information was needed.

You should criticize leadership when it is deserved. We are capable of criticizing democrats when they're wrong because we aren't enthralled in a cult of personality.  Trump has consumed the republican party so that's why so few of them will EVER utter anything critical of their cult leader.

With his adherents here a strong case in point and the GOP Senators underscoring your comment.

I know I always take one side's word for things, Kid. It beats examing the facts on my own. Your example is so worthy to follow!

Trump told Woodward that he knew Covid-19 was deadly but “wanted to always play it down” to avoid creating “a panic.”

“My father didn't panic. Instead, he died,”

“On his death bed, he told me that he felt betrayed by the President, and this is just the nail in his coffin,” she said.

There it is.  Cause and effect.  Sad.

About this "the President caused thousands of deaths"

It is INSULTING to the dead themselves to say such a thing

WTF do I waste my time with you? You cannot admit an error and you don't accept evidence.

If the forum had a way to downvote comments (like reddit) and after so many downvotes the post got removed this would be a better place.  Opinions need to have consequences or else there is no social pressure to conform to the mores of the culture.   This "say anything without consequences" attitude leads to more and more extreme and vile opinions. Kid and others feel emboldened to express more vile opinions from behind the safety of their keyboard without censure in a way they would never say in a public setting.

However.
That was not her only motivation.
While she was trying to tamp down public fear she was also slamming Trump for xenophobia.
