Mao had a better hairline and was fluent in his native language.

Trump is at the same time low rent and over leveraged, a ‘murican tinpot despot.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/17/politics/lindsey-graham-trump-tax-returns/index.html

Lindsay`Graham calls for Trump to release his tax returns.

Trump yawns.
The country yawns as well.

True.  Most of America already knows the man is a criminal.  They are either already planning on voting against him, or they support him anyway because Taxcuts and Brown People (!).

But fact remains that if Trump cared one whit about our country's Democracy he would see the need to release them, and be 100% transparent about his finances.  So his refusal to release his tax returns just a clear reminder that he doesn't give a shit.  And that his supporters who respond "Yawn" don't either.

I didn't get to watch last night's town hall, but from the clips I saw the Trumpists who are leaning on the "president's" characterization of him as "sleepy" might be unpleasantly surprised.

Notably, Biden did what I said he should do months ago; call for the "president" to step down after his disastrous COVID response.  Didn't make a big deal of it, but stated it simply, as a matter of fact.

Like I said then, its a simple thing that in no way should be controversial.  Anyone who has done as bad a job as he has would be fired or resign.  The most important job in the world shouldn't be held to the lowest standard.

And meanwhile, Trump held a rally in a Wisconsin county that is experiencing an outbreak where people were packed together and not wearing masks.

But Trump was well over six feet from anyone and gets tested every day, so no worries!

Underreported
« Reply #50693 on: September 18, 2020, 07:08:43 AM »

https://ourworldindata.org/excess-mortality-covid

The US suffered more than 244,000 excess deaths between March 1 and August 19. Compared to 169,000 confirmed COVID deaths during that time — a difference of 75,000 deaths meaning the true count of COVID mortality is being vastly underreported.

I like how there is news today of politically motivated interference in the published CDC testing guidelines in the middle of a pandemic that has killed hundreds of thousands, testing guidelines written without any input from the experts in the agency, and it barely registers.

Impeachable offense in any other administration, just another day for Trump.

Advance planning - imagine that!

A vaccine for COVID-19 has not yet been approved, but officials in Florida are already putting plans in place to distribute millions of doses to the population.

CNN has a pretty extensive collection of clips available, organized by questions asked.

I didn't catch Trump's disastrous town hall either, but saw enough clips of that parade of lies that make any thinking person's choice clear.

But no, I wouldn't expect a Trump Cultist like yourself to sign off on that point of view.

Certainly unimaginable in the Trump Administration.

I can guess which ones WEREN'T made available.

Woman asks about her family's med being covered - what can Joe do about this - and he goes off on a ten minute roll about Beau Biden and his cancer.

The questioner was so flustered/confused she went and sat down - with Joe offering a semi-apology for getting off track

Even in a SOFTBALL game, Joe can get lost.

But 75 minutes IS a long time (credit Anderson Cooper for sensing when JB needed a break).  No wonder the 4 hour Joe Rogan appearance doesn't sound so appealing to Biden and his folk.

Trump:  "You need ENERGY to do this job"

Really so much of what needs to be said.
