Nothing like stating the obvious.

During Monday’s broadcast of FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) vowed there will be “no more lockdowns” in his state.

As some governors and mayors are increasing restrictions due to spikes in coronavirus cases across the country, Abbott emphasized that the government should not “micromanage the lives of everybody.” He argued that “lockdowns are overvalued” because the virus gets transmitted easily in private gatherings.

Amen

Andrew Cuomo mishandled thousands of New York nursing home COVID sufferers and was rewarded with an Emmy!

Now he is trying to track down thousands of Orthodox Jews who gathered for a wedding.
Maybe a Nobel comes next?

Mike DeWine just got kicked out of the republican party for not sticking his tongue as far up trump’s asshole as you like to while Covid deaths and hospitalizations skyrocket in Ohio.

Figuratively?

It actually depends a lot on what happens to that bunch of idiots now their god slug has formally begun the process of transitioning from impostor president to multiple count defendant. Fortunately he’s had the hormone shots for that (they told him it was for Covid).

I was really just reminding Red that his governor told his wanna be president to take a long walk off a short pier.

While the GOP is still in two camps as to how to proceed as a criminal organization masquerading as an illegitimate political party, the obstruct and grift in the minority wing is gaining sway at the expense of the burn it all down to desperately cling to power faction. Knives are drawn. Even more steroids, meth, and crack rock have been consumed. Internal party blood letting soon to follow among republicans.

At the end of the day, who knows where DeWine will stand?

DeWine is not a simple as Red who we know will wallow in shit regardless of what else is happening.

As Deadwood Sheriff,  I've noticed folks are shooting each other easily in private homes,  so we're not going to micromanage the saloons and ask them to turn in their guns at the door.

According to new data from Los Angeles County's Department of Public Health, COVID-19 cases traced back to the county's restaurants and bars accounted for just 3.1%, or 70 of the total 2,257 confirmed cases found from 204 "outbreak" locations.

L.A. County Supervisor Board Chair Kathryn Barger issued a statement Monday opposing the new restrictions.
“These proposed measures by the Department of Public Health will further devastate local businesses and employees who have been asked to shoulder an unfair burden this year,” Barger said. “Businesses throughout the county have invested thousands of dollars to ensure safety for their employees and customers only to be punished for the recent surge they have done everything in their power to prevent.”
Barger noted that increased case counts are not coming from businesses reopening, but from gatherings where people aren’t wearing masks, citing Public Health data that only 10 to 15 percent of positive cases reported dining out with someone who tested positive, while more than 50 percent reported being at a private social gathering with someone who tested positive.
She argues that by closing restaurants that are in compliance, the county may adversely incentivize residents to host and attend more private gatherings without safety precautions in place.
"Businesses have made incredible sacrifices to align with safety protocols to remain open in order to pay their bills and feed their families,” Barger added. “Our hospitalization rates are among the lowest we’ve seen. Yet, the rationale for further closures is tied to the number of patients in the hospital. We’ve come a long way to support workers and residents who are struggling to stay afloat and should not regress on the progress we’ve made.”
She encouraged residents to help slow the spread by maintaining physical distancing and wearing face coverings.

Sheriff Bart

thank you for your service and for not micromanaging the saloons and such and keeping them open in Deadwood and Rockridge.

But how about micromanaging healthcare for our womenfolk?  Will there be a a lockdown of Planned Parenthood or other clinics that offer various health services to our prarie primroses, particularly in some of the more remote ares of your jurisdiction, where there are limited choices?

Regards.

It doesn't get transmitted easily in private gatherings...
if private gatherings are banned...you're not allowed to have anyone visit your house...no one except your sweetheart.
No funeral gatherings except a very few people....no anything.
No sitting on park benches eating anything or not.
No sitting in a park.
Stay home.
Go to and from work in a timely manner, no loitering.
$1000 fines if you and your wife were sitting in a  car in a public street. Get the groceries and get straight home.
How bambuland made the virus homeless.
Oh, and started locking up returning overseas travellers in quarantine in hotels...instead of trusting them to self isolate and get from the airport to home without infecting anyone.
