Just under 10 million taken out of Response and Recovery from FEMA to give to ICE for the building of detention centers for immigrant children.

Celebrity donations will make up for it.

Just under 10 million taken out of Response and Recovery from FEMA to give to ICE for the building of detention centers for immigrant children. This as a Cat 4 record breaking hurricane heads for the Carolinas. After Puerto Rico, Hawaii.

The 'unindicted co-conspirator' says today,
"I think that Puerto Rico was an incredible, unsung success."

4000 Americans dead.

Obviously the notion that it was a success is patently absurd and insulting, but what gets me about this quote is his use of the word "unsung."  Because that is what this is about to him...the lack of recognition for the amazing job he thinks he did, after 3,000 Americans die, and much of the island is without power and water for a year.

"Nobody throws paper towels better than I do.  Believe me."

Fucking pathetic asshole.

THEY did.

Asshole.

The 9-11 deaths came before the clean-up.

The Puerto Rico deaths came after what passed for a clean-up.

Many of them came after the Feds pulled their forces out.

How many people should have died?

Ask your President:

"Every death is a horror," Trump said, "but if you look at a real catastrophe like Katrina and you look at the tremendous -- hundreds and hundreds of people that died -- and you look at what happened here with, really, a storm that was just totally overpowering ... no one has ever seen anything like this."

1,833 people died during and as a result of Katrina.

2,975 people died in Puerto Rico during and as a result of Hurricane Maria.

So yeah, how many people should have died to make one a "real catastrophe" the other an "unsung success?"

And no reason to think that while the President golfed, a more alert executive could have done anything to help?

Oh sorry, you can't figure out how to get past the paywall.  You're as pathetic as your President is.

And also no reason to think a more effective President could have done anything different:

The people that cleaned up Ground Zero couldnt have done a great job - look at all that died.

There was a 9/11 commission that took two years to prepare a full accounting of what happened in the lead-up to and after that day.

What have Trump and Republicans done to look into the deaths of 3,000 Americans in Puerto Rico, kiidcarter8?

TODAY that number is 34%

From your link:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 47% of Likely U.S. voters think the United States is safer today than it was before the 9/11 terrorist attacks. That’s up from only 31% in November 2017 and the highest level of confidence in the nation’s safety since late 2012.

...or four years into Obama's Presidency.
