If we, as a nation, survive the next two years it will take generations to undo the damage be8ng done to our institutions by the GOP and the Russian marionette in the White House.
With three months to go 2018 will be one of the stronger years of job growth since the recession.
Despite the grudging recognition of the strong economy Obama built that is inherent in the "one of", 96 million, Red. 96 million people who have abandoned any attempt to find work! That, not phony unemoymemt and job growth numbers is the real economic story. A story of the failure of Trumponomics

Heh.   Hoist upon his own petard.
[pedantic rant]WITH his own petard. A petard is a bomb. Hamlet, Act 3, Scene 2[/pedantic rant]

I’m glad you cleared that up. I’ve been long under the misapprehension that a petard was some kind of jock strap for one’s codpiece. It paints a very different image now.

In Shakespeare's usage, it was a fart.
No, the context is a bomb. It is a double entendre, perhaps, but the context is of engineers and mines.

The reason it was spelled without the 'd' at the end was to make the fart reference.

As with so much else of Shakespeare, it seemed to say one thing while saying another.

Collins made her announcement.

Too many people wanted to donate to her future opponent:

Make America Great Again:

https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/01/health/health-care-education-united-states-27th-world-trnd/index.html

The GOP's efforts from Gingrich's Contract on America through Bush's bogus "No Child Left Behind" and through McConnell's vow to block Obama to Trump's undermining of the budget, we have made it from 6th in the world in health care and education all the way down to 27th.

Not that Obama's own policies on education were substantially better than Bush's.
Leave it to the Global Troll to be fed an esoteric “ study” and send it on without even reading it.  It says absolutely nothing worth noting.

Leave it to Redd to make claims about something, while providing no contrary data.

Redd, you're a joke. And not a good one.

If those Crowd Funders want to do something useful they could give the money to Dr Ford whose life was forever scarred by Feinstein and the juvenile delinquents of the democrat party.
Susan Collins’ speech, by the way, was magnificent. Powerful and accurate as to what this assault on our democracy by the dems was all about.

I wonder if Susan Collins will meet with her colleagues for skis at the celebration at Timmy's?

I knew petard was a bomb.  I fear my mistaken recall of "upon" is that of a child of the Space age,  imaging the man sitting upon the bomb,  lofted upwards by its detonation as if upon a rocket.   I knew "peter" (peh-tay) was the verb for fart in modern French but hadn't made the connection to an Avonian double entendre.  And am grateful for another mental image that evokes rocketry.   The humble fart,  both repulsive and propulsive.

If Merrick Garland wasn't a such class act he'd tell you to take your hypocritical purple "assault on deomcracy" prose and shove it. Fortunately not everyone is as classy as he is.

Sorry I haven't met any adults who have evidence that Dianne Feinstein scarred Dr. Ford forever.   I'd be happy to engage with such an adult.   Go see if mommy or daddy is available.
