It’s biggest effect is in Utah. In WA, OR, CA, & NV everything you can purchase medically you can also purchase recreationally, just at a higher tax rate. It basically raises revenues collected from those who own guns and consume pot in the 9th circuit. It may convince a few patients to give up their guns to keep their med cost down which would be no bad thing. It is a bit regressive in that aspect. In Utah it doesn’t even have a tangible impact at the moment because they are slow walking the implementation of their medical program.
