You understand many atheists believe there was a wise and compassionate spiritual teacher named Yeshua of Nazareth, right?   Atheism just means not believing in a supernatural aspect of the world.

No carry is far better than concealed or open carry. We are working towards that here.

We’re going down farther than Shrub took us in his “administration “ now, under the gibbering Twitter whore. President Pelosi will have to take some serious measures to reverse the slide, so we’ll need a double impeachment to rescue us from the trump economy.

Re:  your three a.m. viewing

Have you tried chamomile or Valerian tea?   Why would anyone in Australia want to marinate their brain in that kind of garbage.

You never know, one day we might be able to carry guns...only a matter of getting the right kind of people into the parliament.
Self defence is not garbage.

http://www.tampabay.com/florida-politics/buzz/2018/12/20/florida-lawmakers-mandated-armed-guards-in-schools-after-parkland-one-just-killed-three-people/

Good thing we have armed guards in the schools to keep the kids safe.

Absolute security!

Right.

No armed guards is better., safer.

They are neither deterrent nor barrier to the actions of crazed individuals.

Case closed.

Especially when they are the crazed individuals.

Which was the point.

Next thing you know atheists and people against Trump's pulling troops out of Syria will be trying to tell me that Jesus of Nazareth never existed...and that Christians don't matter.

"Christian lives matter."

And it is really cool when they act as though non-Christian lives matter, too, when they are in power and in the majority.

And better still, if they actually heed their own religion's teachings. (Arguably, "religions' teachings.)

Today, the DJIA dived under 22,000, down to a number last seen on September 8th, 2017.

But it will take two more days like this to get it under 21,000 (close of May 24, 2017) and three more to get it under 20,000. (close of February, 2, 2017.

The day before his inauguration (January 19, 2017) closed at 19,732.40.

Three more days like today would bring us a mere 10 points above that. We have four days before New Year's. Could be close!

Kid, I would say that there are several ways to go in arguing for armed guards in schools.  One of them is to sarcastically "agree" with Josh's post.  That's the way you have chosen so far.  Another way, that many intelligent people find more persuasive, is to present evidence that armed guards and other "target hardening" measures actually work.  Is there evidence that you could point us to, with a link?

No.

No.

Kiiid's right.

There is no evidence to support the position that armed guards in schools overall make the schools safer and plenty of evidence to suggest that they do not.

Kind of like having guns in one's home. You do have the right to make your home less safe, but it is important to know that is what is happening.

Donald today set out to underscore my point.

It can't be his fault that the stock market is diving! It can't be his Syrian screw-up, his loss of Mattis, his failed tarriffs... It must be the head of the Fed, who "doesn't understand" the markets.

We went into Syria not to fight Isis but to protect Al Qaeda babies for the Saudis. Which created a strange and dangerous situation.

Even after the economic disasters with Bush 1 and 2 and now the Donald, candidates are going to run on the lower taxes and less big government plank in the near future. Time to bury the trickle down as cold war propaganda fiction.
