It’s a side effect of his just not caring.  Putin could have personally been dictating Trump’s speeches, and REDSTATEWARD would not care because his guy got elected.  Just like Mitch McConnell, when told of Russian interference (if he didn’t already know about it) was only too happy for our Democracy to be permanently damaged rather than hurt his chances of getting his tax cuts and his judges.
