SYRIA

Estimated 1500-2000 ISIS fighters remain - over about 1 square mile

US staying has been pivotal.  Kurds urge President Trump not to make the same mistake President Obama made in Iraq, leaving too soon.   Trump has listened to his staff and reversed his course wisely.

Problem here starts (but doesn't end) with the fact that you don't seem to understand the damage making a rash and stupid decision can do, even if it is reversed weeks later.

Where is the anti-gun uproar today after 4 HOU cops were shot by drug runners possessing illegal weapons?

No minority kid to use as a pawn?  Dont want to seem pro cop?
Do you even watch the news?

Pump him enough that a couple percent of Trump's base, looking for more traditional fiscal conservatism, defect.  Just make Hickenlooper's victory that much cleaner.
Trying to think of an even marginally successful insurgent campaign run from the center. Schultz is not even the flavor of the month. He's the manager's daily special.

Perot's was more than marginally successful and had he not dropped out in the middle of the race, before reentering it, might have even garnered some EVs. He did finish second in some places.

John Anderson's was a less successful campaign, though still credible.

Give it up. Trump has always sucked at negotiation “in real life.”

Even his most reliable Washington Post apologist has written a “Captain Obvious” piece...

Michael Gerson is a Trump apologist?   With all deference to the fact that you probably read a lot more news than I do, my sightings of Gerson on the PBS Newshour have not been of anyone remotely in DT's corner.

Oddly enough, my feed is filled with anti-gun reactions, as well as other expressions of anger and sadness.

Yeah, Gerson despises the President.  The Post's leading Trump apologists are the salt-of-the-earth, paradigm of small-town Midwesterness, Gary Abernathy and one-time GWB speech-writer Marc Thiessen.

Hickenlooper/Cortez - the libation ticket for a thirsty nation.  Looper is a brewer, AOC was a bartender.  There will be no "beermergency" in their administration!

Friends of imbibers or not, AOC is not old enough to be on the ticket in 2020.

AOC will have to wait for 2024, when she turns 35, though I doubt that she and Hick will challenge Harris / O'Rourke, what with their 62% favorable rating.

Anyway, enough of this. NACHO FRIES ARE BACK!

Probably for the best.  She would only have one term to accomplish anything and that would be for naught.

I refer you all to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle.  The hotter the candidate, the less determined their age.  And AOC is smokin'.  She can libre my nachos anytime.

I’d say we would need to see how the ticket actually performs in office before speculating on their reelection chances.

Meanwhile, could just as easily say it could be a while before the US puts another Republican in charge after the job your guy has done.  Recent polling: only 28% of Americans definitely support Trump’s reelection, while only 65% of Republicans support his being their candidate for 2020.  Those are fatal numbers to his reelection chances if they hold, and are low enough to say something about the larger GOP project.

Trump must be doing a really bad job on the economy.
